FOSTER MOTHER CHARGED WITH MURDER AFTER BODY OF MISSING 10-YEAR-OLD GIRL FOUND IN NEW JERSEY
Philadelphia prosecutors have charged a 36-year-old foster mother with murder following the death of 10-year-old Jalayshia “Malayshia” Allford, whose disappearance sparked an extensive search involving Philadelphia Police and the FBI.
Caprice Williams, 36, is accused of beating the child to death while Jalayshia was living in her foster care in West Philadelphia.
Williams faces charges including murder, abuse of a corpse, and related offenses.
CHILD’S BODY DISCOVERED INSIDE VEHICLE
Jalayshia’s body was discovered overnight into Thursday, November 5, inside a vehicle at the Stonington Court Apartments in Lindenwold, New Jersey.
The child had been reported missing October 26 from the 500 block of North Simpson Street.
However, investigators now believe she was last seen alive on October 22, when surveillance footage captured her returning home from school.
SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE REVEALS DISTURBING TIMELINE
According to prosecutors, surveillance footage from approximately 1:53 a.m. on October 26 appears to show a body being removed from the West Philadelphia residence.
Investigators allege the footage is among the evidence connecting Williams to the child’s death.
Authorities have not publicly established an exact date or time of death.
MURDER INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
The discovery brings a tragic end to the search for Jalayshia, whose family had spent days desperately awaiting answers.
Her foster mother now faces serious criminal charges as investigators continue examining the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
Jalayshia was just 10 years old. Her life was cut tragically short.
Williams is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

10-year-old #JalayshiaAlford from West Philadelphia was last seen alive on Thursday, October 22nd after coming home from school. She lived with her foster mother, #CapriceWilliams.
She didn’t show up to school the next day. Williams didn’t report her missing until the afternoon of Monday, October 26th. Surveillance recovered by investigators shows what police believe is her body being moved out of the residence in the early morning hours of October 26th.
That footage led them to a vehicle, then to a person connected to it. Around 11 p.m. the following night, her body was located in the trunk of a car in Lindenwold, New Jersey. She’d been there for some time.
Preliminary exam: blunt force trauma. Manner of death: homicide.
Caprice Williams has been charged with:
1-murder generally
2-endangering the welfare of a child,
3-tampering with evidence,
4- abuse of a corpse,
5- additional related offenses.
Investigators believe at least one other person may have helped dispose of the body.
A 10-year-old in foster care. A delayed missing report. A middle-of-the-night removal. A body found across state lines in a trunk.
What is wrong with people. This child didn’t stood a chance. Removed from bio parents, the system puts her in the care o fosters parents and she end up dead.
