God damn. What a start to the piece the Harvard law review refused to run.

ALT Genocide is a crime. It is a legal framework. It is unfolding in Gaza. And yet, the inertia of legal academia, especially in the United States, has been chilling. Clearly, it is much easier to dissect the case law rather than navigate the reality of death. It is much easier to consider genocide in the past tense rather than contend with it in the present. Legal scholars tend to sharpen their pens after the smell of death has dissipated and moral clarity is no longer urgent.
The Harvard Law Review refused to run this piece about genocide in Gaza. The piece was nearing publication when the journal decided against publishing it. You can read the article here:

Israeli soldiers post themselves "conquering" a hospital in Gaza where 43 intensive care patients just died because of a lack of oxygen, according to ABC News.
As a Jew and human rights attorney, I find this photo repulsive. Get out.

Oops turns out tech companies can only track all the things – and only share the kind of data – that align with their own interests. Weird coincidence for companies that are so data-driven! 404media.co/feds-have-no-ide…

Thats not a "base".
International law allows for combatants to b treated at a hospital & even for weapons to be there.
It actually even allows for hospitals to have armed security forces to protect it.
They found weapons for 2 fighters. And killed a now untold amount to do so.
After the Israeli military entered Al Shifa Hospital, they announced what they found.
Boots, bags with the Hamas logo and some NATO-made weapons.
The White House announced that "they had information that there were tunnels and Hamas fighters in the hospital."
Where are the tunnels?
Where are the Hamas fighters?
Where are the rockets?

The scale of these global protests for a ceasefire is so criminally under covered by national media. Just look at this in Austin, what the Statesman ballparked as 10,000 people.

Yesterday was the busiest day for people taking action on CeasefireToday.com after @redveil did this.
Several tens of thousands of people emailed & called Congress, signed petitions & found protests because of him.
Imagine if more artists used their platforms like this.

The Director of the UN's New York office just resigned after thirty years at the organisation over the UN's handling of the ongoing genocide of Palestinians.
The entirety of his resignation letter is a necessary read but this first page blew me away.

I'm serious. STEM without the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities will produce more "innovative" tech bros who giddily reinvent rent, roommates, taxes, and now...roller skates. With complete, straight-faced, sincerity.
This is a problem. And I have a list (So, thread 🧵)

Here's Linda Thomas-Greenfield vetoing a UN Security Council resolution calling for a humanitarian pause in Gaza on Oct 18. Had she not done this, it would have passed.
