NEW AD: Have you seen these anti-Talarico attack ads? Elon Musk paid for nearly all of them. The world's first trillionaire knows if he drags the most corrupt politician in Texas across the finish line, Ken Paxton will owe him everything. @ElonMusk: Texas is not for sale.

A second Democratic sheriff on @GregAbbott_TX’s endorsement list says he did not endorse the governor. Val Verde Sheriff Joe Frank Martinez’s statement:
The endorsement of Webb County Sheriff Martin Ceullar has been removed from @GregAbbott_TX's campaign website. Sheriff Ceullar, the brother of U.S. Rep. Henry Ceullar (D-Laredo), was indicted by the DOJ earlier this year for allegedly defrauding his office during COVID-19.

Blue Hopkins County.
We finally have results from 217 counties across Texas. After the first day in early voting, Democratic primary voters hold a D+8.4 point lead over Republicans compared to R+10.9 4 years ago. Similar to the county numbers, this is a 19.3 swing in primary voters.

Want your opinion on this. Some people want James Talarico to use his money to boost downballot candidates, like Jon Rosenthal cause of how bad his opponent is, or the entire statewide slate. Good or bad idea?

FIVE!!!! THERE ARE FIVE!!!!! KADY PADILLA STOUT!!!!
Striking: Dems growing optimistic about sweeping all four of the big House races in South Texas. If doable, that's seismic. DCCC's @MadsSinclair tells us on the pod that internal polling has Trump -23 in TX-28, which he won by 10 points. Transcript: newrepublic.com/article/2168…

Everyone is saying that's due to high turnout in the north. But where's the proof of that? Genuinely I cannot find it.
Final day 1 Texas turnout by county compared to 2024: Dallas - 135% Bell - 91% Travis - 88% Ellis - 86% Montgomery - 82% McLennan - 80% Hockley - 68% Madison - 66%
