Ammonia story time - worked a fertilizer plant almost 15 years ago, cleaning up the equipment list.
Acid Plants were done so it was time for the Granulator and product elevators. If you don’t know, that’s where they spray ammonia to combine with the other fertilizer elements to make those little pellets we all know.
Maintenance confirmed we didn’t need a respirator or any other non standard PPE. Walked into that building and thought I ran into a wall. No one in the control room could smell anymore, they were just used to it, all sense of smell just gone. Got directed to our target equipment to verify, only made it halfway before I thought I was gonna pass out. Lightheaded/dizzy. It had been about 30 seconds from when I left control.
Ducked into a side door to get fresh air. Immediately left and let our management know we weren’t sending anyone else back in there.
Never screw with Ammonia.
Incredible things happening in the fusion world - not energy yet, but valuable medical and inspection products to continue the journey.

So, who’s got the OG recipe and wants to make a few billion in chocolately goodness
This past Valentine’s Day, 71-year-old Brad Reese, proud grandson of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups inventor H. B. Reese, posted a scathing open letter to the manager of corporate brand and editorial at Hershey, accusing the company of unforgivably altering many Reese’s products by replacing real chocolate with compound chocolate — basically using vegetable oils instead of cocoa butter to lower costs and replacing real peanut butter with “peanut-butter-style crèmes.”
“And Reese wasn’t alone in feeling like everything was getting worse,” writes Rachel Handler. “Everyone in my life I spoke to agreed that something was amiss, that Reese’s — and commercial chocolate in general — didn’t taste the way it used to.”
Handler would spend the next several months tumbling down a chocolate vortex, encountering dozens of eccentric characters, all disagreeing about the fundamental question of what chocolate even is and who it should be for.
“I learned that — not to sound like a LinkedIn guy — what’s going on with chocolate is a parable for the modern world. That at this particularly bleak end stage of capitalism, everything we once treasured has or will lose its essential essence and MrBeast will always be involved somehow.”
For our cover story, Handler takes a deep dive into the molten belly of the chocolate world. Read it in full: nymag.visitlink.me/vKKky_
Pretty incredible revolution occurring here. Gifting citizens, especially children, a stake in the future while encouraging parents to do the same is absolutely the way
Replying to @russell_m @InvestAmerica24
Actually this was the exact dream. Founders always have irrational optimism. But mind blowing momentum nonetheless. This is another key moment - but still Day 1. Huge announcements in the wings. The ownership society is on the march! 🇺🇸🚀🤍
Teaching science just got so fun, this is crazy cool
We’re gonna have ourselves a weekend 😤

At any other point this year would assume this is fake. Absolutely unreal time to be alive. Anything is possible
Oh Enders game, your arrival has come far, far too soon. Spooky as hell.
Ukrainian-developed FPV drone simulator “Remote Reaper: FPV Drone” has officially left Early Access, with version 1.0 now available on Steam.
Developed in collaboration with military pilots, the simulator focuses on combat FPV drone operations and introduces several features in its full release, including armored vehicles with modeled vulnerable zones, electronic warfare effects that can disrupt video feeds and control signals during the final stage of an attack, and a customizable drone editor.
Version 1.0 also adds configurable weather conditions, custom mission editing, real-time flights with other pilots and a racing mode.
Players can use FPV hardware or a gamepad with realistic flight physics, or opt for simplified controls using a keyboard and mouse.

Absolutely stunning price spikes in wholesale diesel today; Up 18cts/gal Gulf Coast and East Coast; but up 28cts/gal in Southern California and 25-30cts/gal in Great Plains and Great Lakes. Market clearly not believing that Russian oil is on the way.

JUST IN: NASA says its Moon Base is running ahead of schedule, with the first element now expected to launch in December followed by near-monthly robotic missions to the lunar surface beginning in early 2027.
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said the agency expects to beat the original national-space-policy target of putting the first Moon Base elements in place by 2030.
The plan is to send infrastructure, rovers and other equipment ahead of astronauts so hardware is already operating on the surface when crews arrive.
NASA is also developing a public website that will allow people to follow construction of the lunar base as missions arrive.
“We’re leaving no doubts this time,” Isaacman said. “It’s all in HD.”
