Yesterday, after training, the Black Warriors paid a visit to their teammate, Ivan Okello, who is recovering at Bukedea Teaching Hospital following his successful surgery.
The team spent some time with him, sharing words of encouragement and wishing him a speedy and full recovery. The bond goes beyond football; we stand together as one family.

Ivan Okello has sustained a compound fracture following an injury during today's match against URA FC.
We are pleased to report that Ivan is currently out of danger. He was rushed to Bukedea Teaching Hospital immediately after the incident, where he is receiving medical attention.
An orthopedic specialist is expected to assess his condition tomorrow morning and provide a comprehensive medical report to guide the next course of action.
The entire Blacks Power FC family stands with Ivan during this difficult moment. We wish him strength, courage, and a speedy recovery.

Ohhh God! 馃挃馃挃 Our hearts are broken!
Black Warriors midfielder Ivan Okello has suffered a broken leg following a horrific tackle from behind and has been rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Ivan had only just come on in the 56th minute, making his season debut. What should have been a special moment has turned into a heartbreaking ordeal for the young Warrior, his teammates, and the entire Blacks Power FC family.

Stakeholder's meeting on the national Sickle Cell disease Research Agenda and Launch of the Development of National Sickle Cell Prevalence Survey Protocol by the @MinofHealthUG and Partners.
The meeting aims to;
1. Share current evidence on the burden of SCD in Uganda and recognise researchers who built the evidence base.
2. Officially launch the development process for the National Sickle Cell Prevalence Survey protocol and the National SCD Research Agenda, and constitute the protocol development team.
3. Identify and prioritise research questions for the National SCD Research Agenda, including other congenital and inherited conditions.

When Second Lieutenant Ruhamya Kainerugaba made the decision to join the army one of the implications of his decision was choosing the kind of relationship he was losing with both his grandfather and his father. He was choosing to have these two as Afande! That is a relationship of salutes and orders! That relationship is awkward and not entirely close! Yesterday after the Kabamba pass out Gen. Museveni waved goodbye to his son who was with his wife Mr. Museveni鈥檚 daughter-in-law. Gen. Muhoozi straightened up and saluted back. In that relationship there is nothing informal outside the dictates of military life.
Now Afande Ruhamya will salute his father and grandfather for the rest of his life.
I also noticed that junior noncommissioned SFC soldiers in the detail of you may the inner ring of his dad saluted him. He is already Afande to them.
I just love the military and how it works!
