“After all, a man who’d prioritize anything over his family’s health is not someone I’d respect”. Seems to me driving across the country to attend a con while one’s mother is in the hospital doesn’t show care for family. I hope mother Peters has a full and speedy recovery.

Prelude to Axanar feeds Axanar, new people come and probably don't check the date, they watch it, they see new ones coming but they don't know most of the cast are gone, multiple directors have come and gone, the studio moves etc and it goes on and on.

The Axanar people need to apologize to their donors and admit that Axanar isn’t happening. There is absolutely no reasonable way forward. It’s over.

If you ever give money to a fan film, make sure it is going to somebody who gets the job done and do it in a timely manner and if you're giving money to a fan studio make sure they actually pump out several fan productions a year otherwise your money is going nowhere.

The biggest killer of Axanar isn't the detractors, nor a lack of funds, it's Alec grandiose ideas and scope creep. The original idea of Axanar could've been made already - but that would've wound up the production... trekzone.org/1701/2020102655…
