This is a disgrace, and it directly impacts our military readiness.
Some 1,300 Navy family members were evacuated from Bahrain during the Iran war. Months later, families are still displaced, separated from loved ones, struggling financially, and waiting for answers.
Some have spent tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket. Others still can’t access their belongings.
These families should NEVER be abandoned.
How the hell are our service members supposed to focus on defending this country when they’re worried about whether their own families are being taken care of?
Supporting our troops means supporting their families, too. That’s not just a moral obligation. It’s a matter of national security.

Instead of Scrooge being visited by Jacob Marley, Trump is visited by Jeffrey Epstein, played by Will Ferrell, while James Austin Johnson plays Trump.
The premise alone sets up the joke: the ghost has returned to remind Trump of a past he cannot escape.

58 years ago today, Tommie Smith and John Carlos performed the Black Power salute at the Olympics that outraged millions of white Americans.
It was an act of protest by the U.S. athletes Tommie Smith and John Carlos during their medal ceremony at the 1968 Summer Olympics in the Olympic Stadium in Mexico City.
As they turned to face their flags and hear the American national anthem (The Star-Spangled Banner), they each raised a Black-gloved fist and kept them raised until the anthem had finished. Smith, Carlos and Australian silver medalist Peter Norman all wore human rights badges on their jackets.
The event is regarded as one of the most overtly political statements in the history of the modern Olympic Games.
Both athletes were kicked off the US team for their protest.

They fired Norm Macdonald from Weekend Update because he wasn’t funny. Then they invited him back to host.
December 1997. NBC’s west coast president Don Ohlmeyer pulled him off the Update desk. Norm said Ohlmeyer’s reason was that he wasn’t funny. Norm believed it was the O.J. jokes.
October 1999. Norm hosts SNL and opens with the math. They fired him for not being funny, and a year and a half later they asked him to host, which he said wasn’t enough time for a guy to learn how to be funny.
In 2021, the SNL season premiere was the first show after his death. Weekend Update’s final minutes were handed over to Norm, re-airing his jokes from the desk he’d been pulled off of.

To make matters worse Democrats quietly support the war and will do nothing to stop it after they win the midterms.
Americans need to wake up and realize we are ruled by two parties that serve the same capitalist and imperialist system.
Banks, billionaires, and corporations win every US election because both parties exist to serve their interests.
It is why they keep getting richer while the masses struggle to survive and afford basic needs.
