You’ve got to be kidding me. Cheers to whoever at HIG had the balls to suggest such an insanely brazen idea…. also go f*ck yourself.

Hard to recall a public filing that's done a better job of separating those who understand finance & basic accounting concepts from those who just love to hear themselves talk. The confidence-to-competence ratio is remarkable. Keep the Big Important Thoughts™️coming!

Wasn't everyone concerned about how much distillation was inflating numbers?

Evergreen CV's. Lol. Lmao even. Might be the least-serious group of LPs in any asset class...

Someone tell me what’s going on with Corweave bonds. Preferably someone who has no ideas how credit works. @chamath care to discuss further following the pod?

Listening to VCs talk about bond markets is like listening to Joe Rogan talk about vaccine science.

note Charlie Ergen who needs the FCC to not seize his wireless spectrum so he can sell it to SpaceX for $20 billion (a deal partially negotiated in the Oval Office):
The @wapo got ahold of the ballroom bribe list. Here's just the top donors.

How can you avoid being at least a little cynical when things like this are the norm? CFTC analysts: "hey guys this looks like crime, here's the report" CFTC politically-appointed sr advisor: "Nope. shut it down nothing to see here. Do not follow up on this."

Dental rollups 🤝 PE owners 🤝PC lenders DSOs have been serial value destroyers in BSL/HY markets for a decade+ but thankfully no issue in PC. Heartland, Aspen Dental, Benevis, Carestream, Allcare, DCA,Absolute Dental, Great expressions, SDB.. endless list of trash.

In b4 a dozen of you broccoli cut 26yr old bozos tell me I don't get it. Here's an idea: go back to doing REAL value-add /op improvement for the biz AND the customer instead of starting at "how can I squeeze a few more bucks out of the client offering nothing in return".

My sister's longtime dentist practice got bought out by a private equity-backed dental group four months ago. Same office. Same hygienists. Same chairs. Zero new equipment. Last week they sent the new fee schedule for anyone with insurance. A routine cleaning that used to run $120 is now billed at $310, with the group quietly dropping several insurance plans they used to accept. When patients asked why, the new regional manager gave a scripted line about "aligning with market standards." Private equity figured out the same trick everywhere. They're buying up the things you can't opt out of: dental, veterinary care, urgent care, hospice, because they know you can't just skip your kid's cavity or your dog's surgery. This isn't inflation. It's leveraged debt getting loaded onto places you have no choice but to keep paying.

Wait you mean the permits granted legally to developers that have broke ground sinking 100s of millions of capital into them can't just be revoked because "the vibes are bad before midterms"? 🤯
