Azerbaijan’s external public debt stands at $4.509 billion, while strategic reserves have reached $89.381 billion—nearly 20 times the debt. With an external debt-to-GDP ratio slightly above 5%, Azerbaijan has a strong financial buffer to withstand external shocks and support long-term development. The next priority is to turn this financial strength into economic diversification, higher productivity and sustainable prosperity. #Azerbaijan #AzerbaijanEconomy #EconomicGrowth #FinancialStability #PublicDebt #ForeignReserves #EconomicDevelopment #EconomicDiversification #SustainableGrowth #NonOilEconomy #Investment #GlobalEconomy #FiscalPolicy #EnergySecurity #Trade #Innovation #GDP #Baku #SouthCaucasus Read more at azernews.az

“Azerbaijan is consistently implementing measures to combat corruption. Modernizing legislation, increasing transparency and accountability in public administration, ensuring the digitalization and accessibility of public services, and strengthening public oversight all play an important role in preventing corruption,” President Ilham Aliyev said in his address to the participants of the Third Ministerial Meeting of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities of the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, held in Baku. The head of state noted that during the nearly 30-year occupation of Azerbaijan’s territories, the illegal exploitation of the country’s natural resources, including mineral deposits, involving foreign entities had caused severe environmental damage to the region. He added that substantial proceeds derived from these crimes had been laundered through international financial channels. “Digital development, particularly the rapid spread of artificial intelligence, expands opportunities to combat corruption while also creating conditions for new forms of corruption and the misuse of digital financial instruments. The effective use of modern technological solutions by relevant law enforcement agencies is particularly important for preventing and efficiently investigating such crimes. “I am confident that the discussions and proposals put forward in Baku will help further strengthen cooperation among OIC member states in combating corruption, build mutual trust and contribute to the sustainable development of our countries,” President Ilham Aliyev added. #IlhamAliyev #Azerbaijan #OIC #AntiCorruption #FightAgainstCorruption #Transparency #Accountability #DigitalTransformation #ArtificialIntelligence #InternationalCooperation #MoneyLaundering #EnvironmentalProtection #Baku #SustainableDevelopment

“Azerbaijan attaches particular importance to developing cooperation, strengthening solidarity and promoting mutual support within the framework of the OIC, and consistently works towards achieving these goals,” President Ilham Aliyev said in his address to the participants of the Third Ministerial Meeting of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities of the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, held in Baku. “Corruption is a crime that undermines public trust in state institutions and damages social justice, fair competition and economic development. In some cases, the transnational nature of such crimes necessitates measures at both national and international levels. In this regard, the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Convention of the Member States of the OIC on Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Cooperation is a strategic document that establishes a common legal framework in this field. Azerbaijan’s accession to this Convention is of great importance for strengthening international cooperation,” the head of state emphasized. #IlhamAliyev #Azerbaijan #OIC #OrganisationOfIslamicCooperation #AntiCorruption #FightAgainstCorruption #Baku #InternationalCooperation #Transparency #RuleOfLaw #GlobalCooperation #EconomicDevelopment

"Double standards are also when someone wants to teach you how to live. Though prior to doing so, you should look in the mirror and ask yourself: Do you have the moral right to lecture someone, to teach someone, to lecture an independent country on how to live, what to do, and what not to do?" President Ilham Aliyev said in his speech at the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue. The head of state added: "We never do that. Emphasizing that this unity manifested itself during the most challenging periods in Azerbaijan’s independent history, the head of state noted that during Armenia’s military aggression and occupation, as well as the Second Garabagh War, representatives of all ethnic groups and religions fought as one iron fist, which became a symbol of Azerbaijan’s victory. #IlhamAliyev #Azerbaijan #Azerbaijanism #NationalUnity #InterculturalDialogue #WorldForumOnInterculturalDialogue #DialogueForASharedFuture #Multiculturalism #ReligiousTolerance #NationalSolidarity #SecondGarabaghWar #Garabagh #Baku #UnityAndSolidarity
