Portugal has recently created Europe’s largest Marine Protected Areas network, helping protect the unique underwater ecosystems of the Azores. 🇵🇹 This #Sentinel2 image provides a partially cloud-free view of the protected waters south of the islands of São Jorge, Faial, and Pico.

Each #OutermostRegion is different but we all follow characteristics of Article 349 of the TFEU which shows that we need specific assistance to apply #EU policies. It is essential for Article 349 of the TFEU to be applied in all legislative initiatives of the @EU_Commission.
