We are loving meeting new S1s this week! They have been taking part in our Race Across South America challenge with @BAcadSocialSubj. They reached Argentina today and had to design a new street food item in Spanish! ¡Delicioso! #P7Transition @BathAcadNews

Incredibly proud of our category winner at the Celebration of Achievement's awards @LoveWestLothian. Wonderful to recognise someone who refused to be a bystander and has helped inform our school improvement agenda as a result #RRSA #Article29 @MVPScot

The first meeting of the Rights Respecting Group is underway! Led entirely by an enthusiastic group of our young people. We can’t wait to see your ideas 💡 come to life. #RRSA @BAcParliament @BathAcadNews @MissTryba
Great to see our MPs leading a new extra curricular club! Come along to the new #RRS club tomorrow lunchtime and help us get to silver! @BathAcadNews
Our Presiding Officers are taking part in Our National Discussion. They’ve added their opinions to Menti for “what colour is education?” & “how would you describe education in one word?”. Great to see our pupils included in the presentation! #TalkScottishEducation @EducationScot
Our next Parliament session will take place next Wednesday 16th November. All MP’s and Presiding Officers should make their way to the Assembly Hall for the start of period 4. @BathAcadNews
We are looking forward to taking part in this on Wednesday 23rd November! A fantastic opportunity for learners to make their views heard and have those views acted on! #LearnerParticipation #TalkScottishEducation @BathAcadNews 🏴 🎤

Our School and Community were camera shy! This committee will address two questions: “how can we improve our wellbeing by embedding eco-schools?” & “how do we ensure that everyone is empowered to discuss discrimination and promote inclusion within our community?” @BathAcadNews
The next committee is a big one! Our Relationships will be considering “how can we enact our anti-bullying policy and encourage pupils to stand up to bullying?” #HGIOURS #learnerparticipation #RRSA @EducationScot @BathAcadNews
Our learning committee is split! One group will focus on curriculum & the other outside the classroom. Their challenge question is: “how can we adjust our L&T to stop negativity about protected characteristics?” #HGIOURS #learnerparticipation @EducationScot @BathAcadNews
Now to introduce our committees, members and presiding officers! First up is Our Health and Well-being who will be considering improvements around “How can we reduce the negative impact of social media on our HWB?” #HGIOURS #learnerparticipation @EducationScot @BathAcadNews
Our first Bathgate Academy Parliament sitting of this session took place today! Learners formed their committees, created pledges and began planning and actioning their areas of improvement. Great to see lots involved! #learnerparticipation #HGIOURS @BathAcadNews @EducationScot
Our presiding officers launched the @BathAcadNews Parliament on #internationaldayofdemocracy for 2022-23 & we have been overwhelmed with the response! We will be holding our first parliament session next Wednesday with all 76 members! #learnerparticipation @EducationScot
