We came to Utah preparing for the hardest moment of our lives. We didn’t expect an entire community to carry us through it. 💛 Kaida update: Utah… we don’t even know how to say thank you. In the middle of everything, you showed up for us. The Ronald McDonald house blessed us with tickets to Game 3 so we could see our @GoldenKnights for the first time in person! The @deltacenter was rocking and the atmosphere was insane! @fox13 shared our story and helped connect us with so many of you. Tony and Melanie Castillo stepped in and made sure we were able to get to Game 4. And to the Mammoth fans—you have rallied around our family in a way we will never forget. Kaida is still in the NICU (28 days old and absolutely incredible). We are taking things one day at a time and learning in real time what this journey looks like. Some moments are heavy, and some are full of hope. But she keeps fighting, and she is strong. On May 4th, Kaida will have surgery to place a G-tube. It is a big step in her care. Today has been emotional for me. I got the call from the union today that I am being dispatched to work night shifts. @alchemistpromo lost our two biggest contracts when we were in the NICU with Kaida, as well as a severe drop in business and we have been drowning since coming home. The schedule will allow for me to attend all therapies and appointments still, as well as get caught up. This will mean missing my older daighters volleyball games for the first time ever. This was a family decision. With all that said, I have so much gratitude. Who is luckier than me?

How come no one is worried about Bruce Cassidy anymore? Because the @GoldenKnights are not playing for the cup right now? He is one of my favorite coaches that I have had the pleasure of watching coach. I liked his interview aith @spittinchiclets where he talked about what he learned in the process about himself and potential growth opportunities. I have zero issue with permission not being given during the playoffs (though we foundout at least one team was given permission). I hope he gets a job soon if that is what he wants to do. He has an opportunity to make a whole lot of money this year (more than any of us are making) while working on his personal growth and development. Would be awesome to see him take a year off, then come back and be the next level of himself.
