Time for Dems to go big on immigration- or just stop talking about it. Let Trump veto if he must and let them run on it in 2028 - but we need a comprehensive immigration reform now.

These election results give Congress a real opportunity to chart a better path on immigration: restoring due process and accountability, modernizing legal immigration, creating solutions for longtime residents, and building an asylum system that works.

Quite a statement from Rep Stevens
On the eve of the eve of the eve of our BIG and important election, a unifying moment has arrived, our democratic nominee for U.S Senate disavows the Rebellion PAC ad made by Hasan Piker’s uncle that claims Jews are responsible for America’s economic woes. We have learned from party leaders and emissaries, as reported in the news media that he has.
On Sunday I will join with the Great Democratic leader, Jim Clyburn and Dr El Sayed for a church service in the beautiful city of Detroit.
The political coalition of Black and Jewish voices that have carried Michigan and this country through so many storms to the righteous path of liberal democracy and equal opportunity for all will ring out. Full statement here:

The New York Times says that the Obama Administration chose not to seek charges against Ilhan Omar for potentially marrying her brother in an act of immigration fraud because the statute of limitations had passed. Well, the statute -- five years -- applies to criminal prosecution, and it has certainly expired. However, civil proceedings to denaturalize people who have committed immigration fraud have no such statute of limitations and have been conducted decades after the offense. Such moves to strip immigrants of U.S. citizenship occur historically about 10 to 15 times a year. That's what has Ilhan Omar and the Democrats worried. If that was her brother, and that was a fake marriage performed as an act of immigration fraud, she can absolutely be stripped of her American citizenship.

From @WSJFreeEx via @WSJOpinion: If elected, Abdul El-Sayed will have automatic access to classified information. But if he were required to apply for a security clearance, he’d likely have a tough time receiving one, writes @zach_kessel.

Aleksander Nilaj is a Bronx community leader who operates a food pantry serving 7,000–8,000 families every month.
On October 13, despite nearly two decades of living in and serving the Bronx, Aleksander was abruptly detained by ICE during a routine immigration check-in at 26 Federal Plaza.
Detaining a community leader with no criminal history serves no legitimate public policy purpose. It is an act of cruelty, plain and simple.

Hasan Piker’s uncle is bankrolling anti-Israel ads for @AbdulElSayed.
Remember when the mainstream media told you Abdul “distanced himself” from Hasan Piker? Lies. They’re just as close as ever and still too extreme for Michigan.
Cenk Uygur, the uncle of anti-American streamer and Abdul El-Sayed campaign surrogate Hasan Piker, is behind an ad supporting El-Sayed in the Michigan Senate race that blames Israel for high grocery prices and accuses El-Sayed’s Republican opponent, Mike Rogers, of dual loyalties, @ChuckRossDC reports.

BREAKING: 🚨Abdul El-Sayed REFUSES to condemn blatantly antisemitic ad by Hasan Piker’s racist and extremist uncle Cenk Uygur. The ad dangerously targets American Jews. This is so disqualifying. Why won’t @AbdulElSayed @AbdulElSayedHQ condemn this blatantly antisemitic ad?

FACT: The annual funding Israel receives from the US amounts to less than one-tenth of 1% of the federal budget. Less than 1/10th of 1%.
FACT: That annual funding would cover only a few hours of federal health care spending. A few hours.
Yet politicians who specialize in scapegoating would have you believe that Israel is responsible for America’s affordability crisis.
Like every form of scapegoating before it, it is a dangerous lie.
