Russia has begun using an upgraded version of the "Gerbera" drone, the "Gerbera-2," which is capable of traveling distances of up to 1200 km and carrying a payload of up to 25 kg. Initially, the "Gerbera" drones were designed as decoys to overload Ukrainian air defences, but the new modification features an increased fuel tank with a capacity of 63 liters, wings with a span of 3 meters, and a fuselage 2.6 meters long.
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence's Intelligence Directorate , the "Gerbera-2" uses a 10 kg ะพัะบะพะปะพัะฝะพ-ััะณะฐัะฝะฐั ะทะฐะถะธะณะฐัะตะปัะฝะฐั ะฑะพะตะฒะฐั ัะฐััั (OFZBCH-10) fragmentation, high-explosive, and incendiary warhead, and the drone can carry a total payload of up to 25 kg. The electronics include an updated flight controller, a 12-channel "Kometa" navigation system, a Chinese-made mesh modem, and a video processing unit based on a Chinese microcomputer. The increased range allows these drones to be used outside of Ukraine; for example, a "Gerbera-2" with a payload was discovered in September on the Baltic coast of Poland.
