One of the final designs Willi Smith created before his passing returns nearly four decades later. For the Spider-Man: Brand New Day London after-party, Zendaya and Law Roach revisited Smith’s 1987 design for Mary Jane, commissioning LaQuan Smith to reinterpret the look:

Paco Rabanne was one the first designers to use black models on the runway and championed fashion icons like Donyale Luna who was his muse. This is one of those rare perfect parings in fashion. I’m excited to see him pay homage to that history.
