Getting older means your arm has to be in just the right position when you go to bed if you want to use it the next day
Watching the #Packers/#Lions game with my 10yr old Braxton.
He asked me if the #Bears are playing in Detroit on Thanksgiving.
I said yes.
He said, “Good! I want @CALEBcsw to eat that turkey w/ @lutherburden3 & @colstonlovelan1.”

The top three things in and around high school sports this weekend in Illinois:
1. Mike Clark’s tweet: “It’s quite a thing to see so many adults losing their minds over kids getting to play one more football game.”
2. Mike O’Brien’s tweet: “Well, here is Joliet Central senior Tristan Sellers after losing the playoff game 56-0 to Lane tonight:
"This was amazing. Being able to have this playoff experience for the school was special. I am just proud to be able to be part of this process and show the kids coming up behind us what is possible and showing them a goal to push past. There was a lot of life and excitement around at the school . And now there will be more people excited about football. I’m excited about what is to come here."
3. Prairie Ridge, which lost its first seven games of the season and won its last two games by a combined 5 points to earn a postseason berth, won on Saturday.
That means there will be another week for kids, families, a school and community to play football this fall.
This isn’t 1960, 1990 or 2015.
Times change, things change and good always comes from change in sports - one way or another.
Never forget: It was a mere 2,200 days ago when kids throughout Illinois weren’t on the fields.

Meanwhile BP profits in Q2 were 5.7 billion and dividends increased by 4%.
Not to mention BP trying to get the state to take away unemployment benefits from workers it locked out at its Whiting refinery.
Midwestern oil inventories have been at record lows.

No good reason other than NFL didnt get paid to allow it.
Reason for violation: Caddix lacks official NFL partner status (unlike Nike or Adidas), making their branding on cleats non-compliant regardless of performance; nearly 40 NFL players have worn the brand this season.
Caddix features and response: The cleats use patented SmartStuds technology designed to reduce knee/ankle injury risk by flexing during cuts; the brand offered to cover fines, and Williams wore them again in Week 7 vs. the Patriots for continued publicity.

Anyone who dare says memorization is not necessary in education, is not a credible educator. There is nothing to dispute the importance of memorization despite many attempts to downplay it in contemporary public education.
Ain’t nothing like high school football. The one sport you can never replicate again. Idc where I’m at, I get emotional watching guys who poured everything into ball, come up short and realize it’s all over.
Greatest sport in the world for all the right reasons.
In college our kicker got hurt getting off the bus and every fat guy tried out for kicker and we lost 14-12 to #8 team in country on the road.

Ben Johnson on Cole Kmet's season-ending knee injury:
"He's one of my favorites for a number of reasons, but, you know, I still remember him at the combine coming out, and how much I love him and that slight interaction that we had there and to be able to be in the same building with him for the last year and a half, I've got so much respect for the player that he is, but also for the person, the leader. He's everything that we want to be about here. He's one of the glue guys. He's a guy that I can count on whether it's a messaging standpoint or to get the pulse of the team. He's going to be sorely missed. I think, he's Chicago, you know. He's been here his whole life and he's a big part of our heartbeat. It stinks. It does. I hate it for him. I hate it for his teammates as well, and yet the train keeps rolling on. Someone else needs to step up. Fortunately, you know, we talked about this last week. Just our practice squad, the way they have been developing, the way they have been working, I think we have some good options here on this roster, so, yeah, we're going to miss him."
Whatever it takes. I love it.
Savage: #Bears QB Caleb Williams called out Richard Sherman for not having Chicago in his top 5:
“I see it all.” 😂😂
