#NHLBruins’ Casey Mittelstadt on what he’s learned playing alongside James Hagens: “As a player, you see the skill. The shot definitely stands out to me… he’s done a heck of a job on the forecheck… he’s taking pucks away all the time… but, other than that, a positive personality, (he’s) having fun and laughing on the bench, so I enjoy that.”

#NHLBruins’ James Hagens on scoring from net-front: “It’s not easy to score in this league. I feel like if you keep going to the net, hopefully, good things will happen. (Elias Lindholm) and Casey (Mittelstadt) made a great play, so just to be able to be there… just try to whack it into the net, that’s really about all you can do.”

#NHLBruins’ Fraser Minten on the mentality going into the third period: “Win a period, win a game. Wasn’t our cleanest today, but, tied game going into the third, we’ll take it… came out and wanted to make that happen.”

#NHLBruins’ David Pastrnak on if tonight’s win showed growth with the team: “100%… we were down by a goal, and (we) retake the lead and stay calm… and even with two penalty kills, we still stayed composed… but we know we were far from our best today.”

#NHLBruins’ Marco Sturm on James Hagens scoring from the net-front: “That was something right away that we noticed, this is not college anymore… I think he realized (that) pretty soon, and we were pushing him pretty hard, (to get) to the paint, more to the inside… so good for him.

Tonight's game certainly had its ebbs and flows, but the Bruins were able to get it done against a skilled San Jose team: #NHLBruins | @BNGProductions blackngoldhockey.com/2026/10…
