Bald ibis nesting wall in Uberlingen, Southern Germany. Several bald ibises have returned this year to breed here. The chicks have already hatched and can be seen. 😍
Look at this: 35 soaking wet bald ibises snuggling up with each other and their foster Moms.
The storm with heavy rain and lots of wind arrived a bit unexpectedly...
But no bird got lost. All of them are safe.

Great photo, @Anele_W! 😍 We are happy all bald ibises are well!
More photos from the bald ibis training camp in Binningen. 35 bald ibises are trained to follow a microlight plane. The foster parents Helena and Barbara play a central role in convincing the juvenile birds that this is safe.

Training camp in Binningen close to the Swiss border. 35 bald ibises are trained today to follow a small plane as a preparation for their migration to Spain later this year. However, a heavy storm has ended the training earlier than planned.
@captainkeeken has arrived in yellow trousers at the training camp. Only the foster parents are allowed to wear yellow clothes, though. So Rainer had to cover up. 😁
More than 2 dozens men were killed during the construction of Jungfrau Railway. You find their names during the "tour" of Jungfraujoch.
It was a fascinating day up there on Jungfraujoch! We learned so much about high altitude research and enjoyed nature's wonders. But there's also a lot of profiteering: Often Jungfraujoch feels more like an adventure park than a mountain, with "tourist attractions" everywhere.
Through a hole in the mountain we left Jungfraustation and went for a short hike on the Aletsch Glacier while the weather was continuously changing between snow storm and being so warm we wanted to get rid of our jackets...
