Appalling overcrowding on a 2 carriage 22:10 train from Marylebone to Birmingham. Staggering that more carriages can’t be provided given the pandemic.

Thank you to all those who have donated since I finished the Cotswold Way on Monday. We’ve now raised £50K. So just £4K is needed to give Gloucestershire an additional Macmillan nurse. Please text BPEW54 to 70070 with your donation sum; what a Christmas gift for those suffering.

We are very proud of and very thankful to @BPE_Rob, who walked a jolly 102 miles along the Cotswold Way to raise enough funds to pay for a Macmillan nurse for a year. Time to rest those tired feet, Rob! 😉

A magnificent day for our last push. Feel truly blessed. After winds and heavy rain, the sun is up and sky is clear, all combining to make the Dyrham Park look resplendent. Joining John & I are Richard Coleman & his fine Collie, Rags. Another broadcast on BBC Radio Glos @ 14:30.

Day 5 done. Finished at beautiful Dyrham Park. One day to go. Time for a final push on all fronts, walking and fundraising.

Or even “fund” the new Macmillan nurse! My fingers are getting numb typing...

View from beyond Old Sodbury. Please encourage all those with you for Sunday lunch to text BPEW54 to 70070 with a £5 or £10 donation! Together, we can find that new Macmillan nurse before Christmas, and it’s chilly out here!

A dry bright but chilly morning to take the first steps south from the impressive, if slightly incongruous and oriental appearing, Somerset Monument. Now heading due south.

Just finished for day @ the Somerset Monument north of Hawkesbury. 75 miles under the belt now. Kind help from Mandy at the delightful Hummingbird cafe in Dursley and generous donation from a customer. All help to push us on in the face of strong head winds.

On our way up to Cam Peak (yes, yet another peak!). Great to have daughter, Charlotte walking today too.
Just finished for the day - on windy Coaley Peak. Time for a soak and a drink. Have a good weekend all.

First sight of the River Severn and the BPE M5 Stonehouse office too. Just above Stroud.

Great & welcoming coffee break, and first mince pie of the season, at the Painswick Pooch. Good to hear BPE name recognised too!

Taking a break at Cranham Corner before heading into yet more woods.

Somewhere south west of Birdlip in the woods avoiding the worst of the morning monsoons.

40 miles down after 2 days. A tough day’s walking but not when the cause is kept firmly in mind.

The mist has cleared....and we can see Cheltenham
John joining the inhabitants of the Belas Knap Long Barrow. Seriously windy and chilly up here this morning.
