But after carefully reviewing every comment and DM you sent, the team is ready to share our final decision now: The current $BRC token will power the entire BRC Exchange ecosystem. Permanently. The contract address is now updated on our website and official X page. This is final — and it's forever. Why we chose NOT to migrate: Our original plan was to migrate to a new token version, but we ran into fundamental problems: Integrity and transparency. A migration would require a smart contract to claim users' old tokens and swap them for new ones. Taking possession of tokens that still hold real, sellable value goes against the very transparency we've been committed to since day one. That's a line we won't cross. As for launching an entirely fresh token — that was never part of our roadmap. It only appeared in the vote as a suggestion from one team member. So the decision stands: the current $BRC is the official token of BRC Exchange, and it's coming with us on the road ahead. What about the rewards program? Since there's no migration, we can't allocate 20% of supply to rewards as originally designed. Instead, we'll power the reward features using trading fees. 📋 Token Migration: Team Update & Community Vote After a team meeting on the token migration, we want to share our thinking — and more importantly, hear yours. Why are we considering migration? Is it truly necessary? $BRC was one of the earliest tokens on Arc, launched through @Noxa_Fi. That platform has since shut down — but control over the token contract still sits with Noxa's dev team, including the ability to change transaction fees and other critical parameters. The new token structure: Total supply: 1 billion tokens 15% — permanently locked in the rewards allocation contract, powering all reward features 5% — development team, locked for 1 year with quarterly unlocks (every 3 months) 80% — converted from old tokens + used for liquidity. Any remainder gets distributed to everyone who participated in the migration How the migration would work: 1️⃣ Snapshot. We capture a snapshot of all holders and the token's market cap. From that moment on, any wallet that sells tokens becomes ineligible (this prevents people from dumping at high prices, rebuying cheap, then migrating). 2️⃣ Conversion. Holders swap old tokens for new ones on our website at a 1:1 ratio. Our system automatically sells the old tokens for USDC, adds it to the new token's liquidity pool, then locks that liquidity permanently (we're adding an extra $10K in initial LP ourselves). The new token's price will be set at the snapshot market cap +20% (example: if $BRC snapshots at $100K MC, the new token starts at $120K). Migration window: 48 hours max. 3️⃣ Launch. After 48 hours, migration closes. Trading opens at snapshot MC +20%. Contract ownership gets renounced. Done. But here's the thing — YOUR voice comes first.
