7 years in 7 tweets... This week we were told @OATempleQuarter will not open in 2021. Here's the whole story of how, with over 7 years notice, we failed to open this school on time to meet the acute need it was signed off for.
The @OATempleQuarter Secondary School is due to open on a temporary for Sept 2023. Current year 6 families will need to apply directly to @OasisAcademies for the first year, in addition to making a @BristolCouncil application. To apply follow this link: oasiscommunitylearning.org/o…
Hear hear! And we were humbled and proud to be part of such a special evening 🥰
At a time when it feels there’s much wrong with the world, my heart was refilled with #joy & #hope at @upourstreet #ThankYouAwards - so many awesome, kind, generous & hardworking souls quietly making Easton & Lawrence Hill a better community everyday through volunteering 🙌🏾💕🙏🏽
Delighted to receive an @upourstreet #ThankYouAward tonight for our ongoing community campaign to make the much needed (and long overdue) @OATempleQuarter secondary school a reality for children of Easton & Lawrence Hill - such a wonderful event @eastsidebristol @Being_at_work
Year 6 parents in Easton & Lawrence Hill - you can find out more about the new @OATempleQuarter secondary opening Sept 2023 at an Open Evening on 27 Sept @WSBartonHill. More info/booking: oasiscommunitylearning.org/o…

Land around Temple Meads is slated to be Bristol's biggest regeneration project.
But the Environment Agency warns that developing it poses a serious flood risk. Will this pour cold water on the grand vision?

Please help spread the word to parents of current Year 5 children in East Bristol - this will be a secondary place option in Sept/Oct. @OasisAcademies will be holding info sessions after summer holidays @YassinMohamud20 @AlisonEynon @upourstreet @samirabhac @ThangamMP @KerryMP 👇🏾

This week’s @BristolLive article about the new @OATempleQuarter secondary @Silverthorne_Ln with comment from our group’s cofounder @littlegreenamy bristolpost.co.uk/news/brist…
A reminder of our journey to make @OATempleQuarter secondary a reality ……starting back in 2014!!!👇🏾

So are we! We look forward to continuing relationships / supporting next steps in the process with @OATempleQuarter @Silverthorne_Ln @educationgovuk @BristolCouncil @TempleQuarter @BristolUni to ensure a brilliant, inclusive new education asset is created for our local community

It's been a long wait of nearly 2 years since we had a unanimous vote in favour of our plans by Bristol City Council's Planning Committee. Now we finally have the green light from @luhc to deliver our exciting regeneration plans for #Bristol @TempleQuarter silverthornelane.co.uk/index…
For 6 years we have looked at this site and tried to hold on to the hope that one day the new @OATempleQuarter secondary school will stan there……well, watch this space 😁 @Silverthorne_Ln
Today we’re celebrating the local children who fought hard for the long overdue @OATempleQuarter secondary to become a reality. Yesterday we heard it would be 🎉 . However, the process was so long & complex many of them won’t get to attend the new sch. Big thank you to them 🙏🏽 ❤️
Yesterday local parents gave statements to @Silverthorne_Ln Planning Inquiry, which will determine the future of the long-delayed & critically needed @OATempleQuarter secondary school. The voices of local children were also presented @upourstreet @RedfieldET #lifechances #equity
It’s been one hell of long, hard journey fighting for this, but FINALLY today the news our community has waited years to hear 👇🏾
BREAKING:

Interesting project. Speaking of making decisions about buildings could you and @michaelgove please hurry up and make a decision about APP/Z0116/V/20/3264641. You have had @pinsgov recommendation for two months now! Children in east Bristol are waiting. @BS5SecForum

@michaelgove @PINSgov While this report sits on your desk, the children of our area continue to be let down. This is what #LevellingUp actually looks like like. Or not #ActionNotWords @BorisJohnson
Want to #LevelUp educational opportunities for one of Bristol’s most disadvantaged communities @michaelgove? Please approve @PINSgov appeal planning for @OATempleQuarter secondary school (promised in 2018) as part of @Silverthorne_Ln (report’s been on your desk for 6 weeks) 👇🏾👇🏻
