Club Kid is remarkable, Jordan Firstman’s debut is strong and feels like the beginning of something new in queer cinema. Let this be a door for more Queer New Realism.

A promising election across the country! LA is looking good, but CA is looking like why don’t we want to tax billionaires. Either way feeling good, if you wanna make out, a bj, or share nudes DMs open ;)

LA here, if you’re voting today. Vote for Nithya Raman, okay. That’s all.

Just listened to Indiewire interview with @carriecoon and I just want to say, I was the gay cinephile screaming about how phenomenal Carrie Coon was in The Nest. She was my best actress winner of that year. A fucking fantastic film by the great Sean Durkin.

What happened to sexting? Do people still do it?

Fjord is such an incredible film. What a way to turn the conversation around and around, making the audience question everything. What an ending! There’s a double feature with this and YCSE.

It’s about mutual affection, mutual connection, mutual desire, and yet that’s something I’ve never found.

I thought Nick Hakim and Noah Kahan were the same person.

What ever happened with the @criterionchannl update and why can I no longer watch movies? It’s been weeks.

I wasn’t expecting You Can See Everything to completely shatter me. The Who’s Who moment is maybe the most tragic scene of the year, I cried and couldn’t stop crying until I laid my head on my pillow. I don’t even understand why.

Summer H Howell is truly good casting. Had no idea who she was, not a big Flanagan guy but so far in ep. 1 I’m locked in. Her performance is so believable, raw, and I wanna ask all those kids to look internally at why they have 0 compassion for a girl whose new & dad died.

This weekend is filled with new movie releases because I can’t find a time to see any of them that isn’t in the afternoon or super late. Like why is it hard to see The Social Reckoning?

Good morning, another day in America where the president of the United States just told people to “take out Los Angeles” cause it’s a “small price to pay” and one of the more “liberal” places in the country. Ya ya, it’s all good here. Ya ya, a bunch of people cheered.

The worst part of AI is those in power manipulate people to think it’s good, and the world is so distracted that it’s working. No one cares, no one gives a fuck. And those who do sound “crazy” and “outrageous” I wish we lived in a different world.

If I see one more AI commercial at AMC I’m going to get all my friends to get ride of their Stubs.

So far I’m loving East of Eden. Zoe Kazan’s adaptation is beautifully written, constructed with such intention, performed with nuance, each shot is purposeful. I’m excited to keep watching and excited for whatever she does next.

What if new studios open and more movies get made because we can’t live in this monopoly, it’s so fucked. What if no one works with them and we get a new era of indie filmmaking?

My Criterion Channel isn’t working, only to find out they’re updating the site.

How beautiful the world would be if movies didn’t rely on IP to make movie and instead invested in making new memorable films that could stand the test of time. Imagine if Star Wars actually ended with Episode 3.
