Last night was amazing!! I’m so happy.
We had a massive turnout, many new community members, and so many vendors came to sell their products at our bitcoin market!
Our circular economy is growing. @BTCComoxValley
Huge shout-out to @BitcoinJono ! 🙌

If developers fail to profit from new homes they can reduce their asking price or rent them out. That’s how the market naturally corrects and homes become affordable for regular Canadians. Instead the Carney government is artificially inflating home prices with your tax dollars.
Mark Carney basically announcing a bail out for Vancouver and area developers;
Too many completed condos sitting empty. Metro Vancouver alone around 2,500 finished units are standing vacant with no buyers.
They don't want to sell at a loss, they can't afford to hold those empty units indefinitely.
We will convert vacant condos into affordable housing. We're going to go use the right financing mechanisms, convert those into affordable housing so people can move in and use that."
Greed and horrible municipal planning has led to building overpriced shitboxes that no one wants.
Now Carney will reward that with taxpayer dollars instead of letting the market solve itself by bringing the prices down.
Absurd intervention.
I thought he was an economist??

Taxation is theft
Illinois just signed the most aggressive bitcoin tax in the US.
Starting January 2027, the state will impose a 0.20% tax on the gross value of digital assets exchanged, transferred, or stored for customers.
Buy bitcoin? Taxed.
Transfer bitcoin? Taxed.
Hold with a custodian? Taxed.
No profit required. No capital gain. Just moving a digital asset triggers the tax.
Move $1M through a bank wire, ACH, or brokerage and Illinois takes nothing. Move that same $1M as a digital asset and the state takes $2,000.
There is no comparable tax on stocks, bonds, derivatives, bank deposits, or any traditional financial transaction anywhere in the country.
The message to every bitcoin company in Illinois is clear: leave.

About to go live 👀
Not your keys, not your coins" is the loudest slogan in Bitcoin.
So why do most new bitcoiners ignore it?
Tonight at 7 PM ET, we're going live with @BITVOLT from Simply Bitcoin, @peruvian_bull, and several Bitcoin Wellians to figure out what's actually going on. Why custodial wins for first-time buyers. What we're getting wrong as educators. And what would actually move the needle.

🧵1/Paraguay’s tax authority DNIT just issued Resolution Nº47 (March 10, 2026) introducing a new requirement to report cryptoasset transactions.
The stated objective is to help the government identify and track economic activity related to crypto. (In simple terms - surveillance). 👎

⚠️ The first time I bought Bitcoin, it dropped 40% in 5 days.
I panic sold. I overtraded.
I ended up with 10x less Bitcoin than I should’ve had.
But I still came out on top.
Give me 10 minutes and I’ll give you 10 years of Bitcoin advice.

Very simply, if Citrea is allowed to prosper here, your node is going be storing hundreds of megabytes of scamcoin rollups a day.

They don't just need slightly bigger OP_RETURNs -
They need to use the inscriptions hack too - and the data therein will fill up entire blocks with their rollups. Their fraud proofs are nothing in comparison and what we've been fighting about for months.
As I understand it four or five of these rollups fills up an entire block.
Bitcoin's blockchain will be a platform used by ETHhead migrants looking to turn Bitcoin into another dev-daycare playground.
