We’re LIVE! ✨💫 I’m Literally Taking It Out the Mud, a creative project, celebrates Black women’s spirit of resistance as they rebuild their lives in the aftermath of involvement in the criminal legal system.
FREE! Tickets here: eventbrite.com/e/67333623580…
The exhibition features the stories of Black women under community supervision during COVID-19 through audio, visual, and spoken word representations, with the permission and collaboration of the participants.
Share far and wide with Black women who may be eligible! We’ll also welcome those recently impacted by #HurricanIan and #HurricaneFiona who are currently on supervision (after they take care of their immediate needs in recovery). #disaster #parole #probation

With over 2.1 million people incarcerated in the United States, incarceration hits closer to home than we think. Share this if you know someone incarcerated and/or detained in jail, prison, or a detention center. Let’s make them visible.

There are over 147,000 incarcerated individuals in prison alone that have contracted COVID-19. That is most certainly an undercount. That doesn’t include people in jails or detention facilities, which means there are thousands more unaccounted in this figure.
Incarcerated people are at a greater risk of contracting and dying from COVID-19. Let’s give space to this disaster. Join us this Thursday, October 22nd at 6pm for the first roundtable discussion of the Disaster of Injustice Virtual Series.
