Get your calculator out. @RachelReevesMP has announced £21.7 billion of government funding for carbon capture and storage projects. She justifies this saying it will create 4,000 jobs. That’s £5,425,000 per job. What’s more, she has adopted exactly the same plan that was developed by @RishiSunak’s government.
