Transgender Montana lawmaker Zooey Zephyr was again prevented from taking part in debate over a measure banning gender-affirming care for minors as her supporters brought the House session to a halt — chanting “Let her speak!” from the gallery. abcn.ws/3AoaL71

Every time I write an obituary I go through a small existential crisis. The process forces you to confront the finality of death. There are just so many questions that could be so easily answered by the person who passed away, and yet they are the ones you can no longer ask.

.@Vanguard_Group needs to take true stewardship seriously and invest for a livable future - for its customers and for all of us. Right-wing politicians and troubled corporations want investors to ignore the risks of volatile industries like fossil fuels. But climate risk is real.
Eight Quaker climate activists were arrested after protesting at Vanguard’s main headquarters in Malvern.
“We still haven’t seen Vanguard hold companies accountable,” said Christina Tavernelli, program manager with Quakers’ American Friends Society.

No matter who you are, now matter where you are: MAKE A PLAN FOR NOV 8TH.
THEN: grab 2 people and ask them to do the same.
We can't afford to have ANYONE sit this out: too much is on the line.
Get an election party together to go to the polls on Nov 8th (or before!)

Philly, are you ready to vote?! It's never too soon to make a voting plan: vote.pa.gov/Voting-in-PA/Pag…

CDC approved updated boosters.
The biggest ? I'm getting is a) safety (they're SAFE!); & b) timing.
Ideal immunologic response is at least 4-6mo post prior vaccine: 2-3mo post infxn. But this can depend on ind'l situations.
Have ?'s-plz ask, I will DM you!

"There is a cure for climate change, or at least a treatment — the people who call the shots need to stop burning fossil fuels, right now. I choose to act for that cure. I choose to act for a future that’s better for everyone, not just a select few."

As the father of a non-binary person, I know that names have meaning. All Pennsylvanians, especially members of the #TransCommunity, should have the ability to change their identities and names without going through a biased process. #TransRightsAreHumanRights

What the GOP is learning from the Don't Say Gay backlash is the institutions mobilizing against it will sit in relative silence when they attack only trans rights. The goal is forcing mainstream queer politics into a negotiation where attacking only trans people is a "compromise"

We should be making laws that are more inclusive – not excluding or discriminating against trans youth across Pennsylvania. HB972 is a solution in search of a problem – a blatant attack on trans girls in high school and collegiate sports made by right-wing Republicans.
