As they say, the best time to plant a tree was yesterday. @BVAssociation have been helping to plant trees yesterday for nearly a decade with their annual tree giveaway thanks to Sharon Johnson. It was great to see everyone out wanting to grow a greener Don Valley North!

We talk about Jane Jacobs, but plan like Robert Moses.
We want bottom-up outcomes but keep using top-down tools.
I wrote about why that doesn’t work, what it costs cities like Newport and Chester, and how places like Medicine Hat show a better way.

Spring is here & turtles are emerging from hibernation!🐢🌸Many male turtles are migrating to new areas in search of mates so keep an eye out for them on & around roadways. Drive carefully & keep your eyes peeled to protect our slow-moving friends in #RougeNUP!📷Ishkhan Ghazarian
