ALT Students in Mrs. Shimmin's Intro to Ag class have been working hard learning all about soil! Students learned about soil particle size, the makeup of soil, and the different horizons! To celebrate their learning students made their own Soil Profile Dirt Dessert! You could make your own soil profile at home with the following ingredients to represent each layer of soil: Bedrock = 1 Whole Oreo Parent Materials = Crumbled Oreo & Butterscotch Chips Sub Soil = Crushed Graham Crackers Top Soil = Chocolate Pudding Organic Matter = Gummy Worms & Green Sprinkles Who knew dirt could be so delicious?!
