Just lost a lovely original passionate friend, Lucinda Franks. In the last months I'd have said we were in close touch -- but I didn't know she was sick. Think back to loved friends and see if you've lost touch with any of them in these disorienting times.
Now that people's children can be inoculated, try to encourage this. And ask your friends to find at least 3 people in their old phone books who may not have gotten the shot, and see if you can persuade them. Sorry to nag, but it's the only way to turn this around.

Sweet people I haven't spoken to in years say "I wish Dr. Bergstein was here to tell me what to do." I wish so, too. I know what he'd tell me. To do my best. I'm trying and it's what I'm telling to you -- to do your best! I expect your best is very good indeed.

My father was a general practitioner doctor. He would have convinced, reassured his patients, in the way even worthy Walk In clinics and News Anchors don't. We need step in. It's a scary world for many people who've lost the people whose word they trust and believe in.
Added to past reluctant sheepish urgent tweets -- if you believe it right --go through your old address books and contact anyone you know from your past who may not be getting the vaccine. They may be shy, uncertain --your call may make the difference. Uncovered many.
I thought all my tweets from now on, if at all, would be about my just finished memoir or making my novel Advancing Paul Newman into a tv series. Instead it needs continue with lists of things we need to keep doing -- and most of all keeping our urgent moral attention!
The Italian Press headlines say BEN TORNATA AMERICA!
(Welcome back America!) We couldn't say it better.
Joy and grace and remembrance and promise of happiness flooded us yesterday! Please don't turn away but keep paying attention and help support love and cheer the world we want and need to stay here with us forever!
And now consider all the footage and in person accounts and weigh in on what needs to be done in response to this threat to us, our country, and the whole world. As they say -- the whole world is watching -- it is!
With these hectic times and raging faces getting into our dreams--let's not forget that we just got our wildest dream of all -- both senators from Georgia! Congratulations! That remains to change our lives! Surprised by joy!
Have a sweet holiday -- reach out to those your love, even virtually. It truly is better than not, and whatever words you use tend to count for more inside all the technical effort to pass your words or your image along. We have a shot at making next year better! Let's try!

Flip the West is also sponsoring a postcard writing event to support the democratic candidates in the Georgia run-offs. Requests must be made by December 14th for a final mail date of December 18th.
