Britain needs a Prime Minister who does not give a damn what Brussels, the UN, the IMF or the left-wing media think. Close the borders. Deport illegal migrants. Cut welfare dependency. Put British interests first. Do it unapologetically. That is the leadership this country desperately needs.

There is no global utopia. Countries compete for energy. They compete for resources. They compete for industry. They compete for strategic advantage. This government should stop behaving as though national interest is something to be embarrassed about.

Domestic crime is an absence of national security as well, in one sense. When we are letting, in all these undocumented people from France, young men, fighting-age men coming to the United Kingdom, committing crimes against the people of the United Kingdom, that's a national security issue. We see it through a criminal justice prism, but actually that's a national security issue. And we are setting aside the security of this country, both in terms of our international engagement as well as the way we governed ourselves domestically. Our criminal justice system is not fit for purpose. It's fallen apart. I think part of the reason is that we've had 30 years effectively of left-wing government. Yes, the Tories were in office for 14 years, but they behaved like a left-wing government. And a left-wing government is long on welfare, long on handing out freebies to everyone, long on spending on the NHS, but they never talk up the need for criminal justice, for bearing down on crime, for national security, for funding the armed forces. That is the preserve of the right wing. And even though the Tories were in office for 14 years, they were not behaving like a right wing party. We desperately need to reacquaint ourselves with that form of political philosophy if this country is to stand a chance.

Victims do not get to opt out of what happened to them. Families do not get to opt out of grief. So why should a convicted killer get to opt out of sentencing? They should be made to attend, by hook or by crook.

A landlord was reportedly receiving £1,790 a month from the council. He was offered £4,500 a month to provide the same property for asylum accommodation. The taxpayer is funding both arrangements. The government is using public money to outbid its own councils for housing.

Five years ago Sir David Amess MP was brutally stabbed to death by an Islamist terrorist while meeting his constituents. Now pro-Palestine activists are filming themselves spitting on his memorial. A country with backbone would have drawn a clear line when Sir David was murdered. Instead, we are seeing mob rule, intimidation and anarchy, all apparently with the tacit approval of the government.

Spare us the sanctimonious lecture. In 2015 you were on Lesbos welcoming illegal boat migrants into Europe. Now you’re Home Secretary preaching “Britain has always offered sanctuary” while small boats keep landing and British taxpayers get the bill. Britain is full. The economy is screwed. Services are collapsing. Rape gangs scar our towns. Close the borders. Return the boats. No more lectures thank you, your open border past is showing.
Britain has always offered sanctuary to those fleeing war and persecution.

Britain recruits trained health workers from developing countries, stripping those countries of people they desperately need. Then the British taxpayer sends billions overseas in aid to help support those same countries. At the same time, British-trained doctors and nurses leave for countries where they can earn far more. And Westminster’s answer is to replace them with cheaper labour from abroad. That is backwards.

I have said it repeatedly and I will say it again, Britain left the institutions of the European Union, but we did not leave its regulatory web. We voted to leave. We never did.

This is how immigration systems work across much of the world. You come on a visa. You obey its terms. When it expires, you leave. A temporary visa does not make you a native. It does not give you an automatic right to stay forever. And it certainly does not oblige the host country to bend its rules around you. The visa ends. You leave. End of story.

Paris is burning. Milan is erupting. Europe is becoming more unstable by the week. And Andy Burnham looks at all of this and thinks: “Yes. Let’s get closer to Brussels.” You could not make it up.

We are in an abusive relationship with our own government. For years the public has been hammered by Covid lockdowns, Ukraine, the Middle East and a relentless cost-of-living crisis. All the while, Britain has been sitting on its own energy reserves. Now, with prices surging and geopolitical risk rising, the Government suddenly approves Jackdaw. Why now? Because reality has finally smashed through the ideology. Every country needs cheap bountiful energy. It is critical for prosperity and security. Our government has been and is abusing us.
🚨 BREAKING: The Government has officially approved the Jackdaw gas field for North Sea drilling It's the UK’s largest known untapped gas reserve and will start to supply gas to British homes and businesses from the end of this month

In 2020, Britain’s national debt was £2 trillion. It has now breached £3 trillion. To put that into perspective: Spend £1,000 an hour, every hour, and it would take: 42 days to spend £1 million. 114 years to spend £1 billion. 114,000 years to spend £1 trillion. That is how much extra debt has been added since 2020. This Government has a serious spending problem. If it is not stopped, it will bankrupt this country.

A lot is now being explained The BBC has betrayed the British public Shame on them !
Civil servants were embedded inside the BBC newsroom working on coverage of politically sensitive subjects including immigration, small boats and Covid. And we are supposed to believe nobody saw an obvious problem with this? We all knew the BBC was a voice box for the government. Now we have the evidence.

We are compelled by law to fund the BBC if we watch live television or use BBC iPlayer. In return, the absolute minimum we should expect is independence from government. Instead, serving civil servants were embedded inside BBC News and BBC Verify, working on small boats, migration and Covid. That is a disgrace. Publish everything. Investigate it properly. No excuses.

It is tragic but France has fallen. Whatever our historic rivalries, Britain needs a strong France and you need a strong Britain. This can only be achieved if you reject the EU and its absurd Schengen zone. France must regain its sovereignty, its culture and its self confidence.

The French unrest is being blamed in part on radical far-left groups and criminals exploiting wider protests. Fine. Then deal with them ruthlessly. A functioning state does not shrug while people torch town halls and loot businesses.

It should not need to be said. If you enter the country illegally, you should be detained and deported. Never allowed back.

We do not need to subjugate the UK to the EU to enforce our borders. The notion is absurd. The EU does not even believe in borders. Border enforcement has to be a unilateral sovereign exercise. It is just that we have invertebrates running the country. Tell the EU to sod off and put the Navy in the Channel.

I am pleased the right is having an arms race. Good. For far too long British politics moved relentlessly left while anybody defending borders, sovereignty or national preference was treated as some sort of extremist. We need a genuine right wing again.
