I lived in the neighborhood when that happened but was away for Christmas with family, and was EXTREMELY unnerved when my phone was hit with "Did you see that" and "Are you OK?" messages from neighborhood folks

I think the personality angle is also hurt by ever app trying to be Tinder — everything is heavily reliant on photos over actual info. I remember old school OKCupid being great for actually learning people’s vibes before meeting, but that style is gone
