There are now over 10,000 COMMENTS on this post.
Take a wild guess how many are from MAGA voters calling me “evil,” “disturbed,” and “unpatriotic” for supporting the teaching of ARABIC NUMERALS to American children.
Yes, folks. Numbers. The same numbers their kids learn in kindergarten.
The outrage is absolutely spectacular.
Imagine being so blinded by your prejudice that you accidentally declare war on basic arithmetic.
They saw the word “Arabic,” and apparently every brain cell responsible for critical thinking clocked out for the day.
And the best part? They're still arguing in the comments.

Sound like they might get to a majority popular voted elected POTUS at last. 🫂 🇬🇧🇪🇺
BREAKING: HOLY SMOKES! Democrats now control enough states to effectively abolish the Electoral College through the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
Republicans did NOT have this on their bingo cards...
Under the Constitution, states control their electoral votes and are allowed to decide how they are allocated during presidential elections. Currently, almost every state gives its votes to whoever wins the state.
In practice, the current system means that a candidate can win the national popular vote, but lose the election because small states like Wyoming exert undue influence on the outcome. That state has 3 electoral votes with a population of just 577,000 people. California has 54 electoral votes and a population of 39.5 million people. So a vote in Wyoming is essentially 3.8 times as valuable as one in California.
Since 1992, Democrats have won the popular vote seven out of nine times.
Under the NPV, states that join agree to give their electoral votes to whoever wins the national popular vote, not just their own state. So a state could go red on the map, but if the Democrat wins the national vote, they still get that state's votes. And vice versa of course.
The crucial mechanism is that the compact doesn't trigger until the member states have a combined power of at least 270 electoral votes, the number needed to win the White House. So far, 18 states plus D.C. have joined, totaling 222 electoral votes. We only need 48 more.
Now is the chance to pass this measure in every state possible. Democrats won both houses of the legislature in Wisconsin for the first time in 18 years (10 electoral votes). We won the Pennsylvania state Senate for the first time since 1993 (19 votes). We now have a trifecta in Michigan (15 votes). And we won the governor’s race in Nevada (6 votes).
10 + 19 + 15 + 6 = 50.
222 + 50 = 272.
And if we hold our lead in the Arizona Senate, that number could climb as high as 283, more than enough to trigger the compact.
In addition to removing an imbalance in our system that favors Republicans, this novel approach would fundamentally change how candidates run their presidential campaigns. Currently, they are incentivized to ignore most of the country. If you live in a “safe” state, red or blue, your vote for President is basically decided before you cast it. Campaigns spend their time and money in a handful of swing states while the rest of us watch from the sidelines. If the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is adopted, they'll have reason to hit every state because they're aiming to win the largest swath of the country as a whole, not just certain states.
States have until July 20, 2028 to join the compact in time for the next presidential election.
We can fix our democracy. The time is now.

Thousands of people flooded my replies last week to insult me. They accused me of being part of a coordinated media conspiracy. They said the Russell Brand trial was a hit job by the establishment to silence an enlightened truth-teller.
Well, the truth is finally here. And it is devastating.
Russell Brand has just been found guilty of rape and three counts of sexual assault. He was denied bail and remanded straight into custody to spend the weekend in a prison cell before his sentencing.
For the last three years, he weaponized alternative media to build a shield around himself. He branded himself a persecuted guru, got baptized on camera, and convinced millions of followers that the deep state was coming for him because he dared to speak the truth.
He didn’t just lie to the public. He used his online audience as a human shield to avoid taking responsibility for the women whose lives he destroyed.
Look at what he was actually found guilty of. Sexually assaulting women he cornered in bars and studios. Anally raping a woman in his own home while ignoring her begging him to stop.
This wasn’t an edgy comedian who crossed a line with a joke. This was a ruthless, manipulative predator who used staggering fame to isolate women and treat them like disposable commodities.
And look at the British media executives who enabled him. The television channels and radio stations that made millions off his "cheeky" public persona knew exactly how he operated.
They watched him target young staff and guests, laughed it off as celebrity eccentricities, and kept handing him prime-time contracts. They are just as complicit as he is.
But the real heroes today are the six women who stood in that courtroom. They did not know each other. They had nothing to gain financially.
They endured years of online harassment, death threats, and public smearing from Brand’s fanatic supporters, all so they could stand in a witness box and finally force him to face the reality of what he did to them.
The spiritual guru act is over, Russell. The conspiracy theories are dead. Today, Russell Brand is exactly what he always was: a convicted rapist sitting in a prison van.

Today, 31 years ago, Prime Minister and former Israeli Chief of Staff Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated by an Israeli Jew who opposed his efforts to build a lasting peace with the Palestinians
I recall speaking to his widow Leah Rabin in London a year after his assassination. She blamed Bibi Netanyahu for inciting violence against her husband that finally led to his assassination. She even prevented Netanyahu from attending her husband’s funeral with the American President & other world leaders on the mount of olives
She said to me “Netanyahu becoming Prime Minister would cause huge suffering to the people of Israel & the Palestinians & undermine Israel’s reputation & influence in the world”
30 years on how right she was

Several centuries ago the Pope decreed that all the Jews had to convert to Catholicism or leave Italy. There was a huge outcry from the Jewish community so the Pope offered a deal.
He would hold a religious debate with the leader of the Jewish community. If the Jews won, they could stay in Italy. If the Pope won, they'd have to convert or leave.
The Jewish people met and picked an aged and wise rabbi to represent them in the debate.
However, as the rabbi spoke no Italian and the Pope spoke no Yiddish, both sides agreed that it would be a "silent" debate.
On the chosen day the Pope and rabbi sat opposite each other.
The Pope raised his hand and showed three fingers.
The rabbi looked back and raised one finger and shook it at the Pope.
Next the Pope waved his finger around his head.
The rabbi pointed to the ground where he sat.
The Pope brought out a communion wafer and a chalice of wine.
The rabbi pulled out an apple.
With that, the Pope stood up and declared himself beaten and said that the rabbi was too clever. The Jews could stay in Italy.
Later the cardinals met with the Pope and asked him what had happened.
The Pope said, "First I held up three fingers to represent the Trinity. He responded by holding up a single finger, shaking it to remind me there is still only one God common to both our beliefs.”
"Then, I waved my finger around my head to show him that God is all around us. He responded by pointing to the ground to show that God is also right here with us.”
"I pulled out the wine and wafer to show that God absolves us of all our sins. He pulled out an apple to remind me of the original sin.”
"He beat me at every move and I could not continue."
Meanwhile, the Jewish community gathered to ask the rabbi how he'd won.
"I haven't a clue," the rabbi said. "First, he told me that we had three days to get out of Italy so I shook my finger saying no.”
"Then he tells me that the whole country would be cleared of Jews and I told him that we were staying right here."
"And then what?" asked a woman.
"Who knows?" said the rabbi. "He took out his lunch so I took out mine."

🍀|He Said His Name. The Room Said It Back. That Is the Whole Defeat.
Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed opened his victory speech by stating the name Trump spent months deliberately mangling. "My name is Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed." He said it in full. He said it as the Senator-elect from Michigan. He said it on stage with his wife Sarah beside him.
He beat Mike Rogers, the former Republican congressman, taking roughly 51.8 per cent to Rogers' 46.2 when the race was called. He is the first Muslim elected to the United States Senate. He is also the first Democratic physician in the Senate since 1969.
Now read what he did with the two Arabic phrases. That is the mechanism.
"Up until right about now, you might have noticed I always say 'inshallah,' or 'God willing,' whenever the outcome of this race was mentioned. But today, tonight, we can turn that inshallah into alhamdulillah!"
He took the phrase the far right had circulated as evidence of double-speak and turned it into the speech's punchline. During the primary, right-wing accounts stripped "inshallah" from context and built an anti-Muslim campaign around it, linking the phrase to claims about Sharia and immigration. El-Sayed's answer was not to defend the word. It was to finish the sentence: the outcome was willed, and now it is fulfilled.
Trump's mockery is on the record, and it is not a slip. It is a pattern.
At a rally in Dalton, Georgia, on 16 October 2026, Trump said: "His name is actually Abdullahalalalala baa ba ba Muhammad El-Sayed. So his middle name is Muhammad. I was right. almost." He added: "I'm the president. I can call you whatever the hell I want Muhammad."
At a Columbus Day event in October 2026, he said some people call him Abdul but he prefers "Muhammad," adding "I don't know. I feel like it."
At another rally, he said "Abdul baba, baba, bada, bah".
He also called El-Sayed a "dangerous jihadist" and a "terrorist sympathizer," and amplified a claim tying El-Sayed's family to the Muslim Brotherhood. A Bridge Michigan fact-check found no evidence that El-Sayed personally pledged support to the organization. The smear was published anyway. The name-mangling was the delivery vehicle for it.
El-Sayed's answer was not a plea for civility. It was a correction with a deadline attached.
He addressed Vice President JD Vance directly, citing the constitutional obligation that Vance will administer the Senate oath in January. "There is this delicious irony in the fact that you're constitutionally obligated to swear me in in January." Then he turned to Trump: "Donald, look, I know you struggled with my name. So after JD swears me in in January, you can just go on and call me senator."
That is the sentence that matters. He did not ask Trump to pronounce it correctly. He told Trump the title will make the pronunciation irrelevant.
The race underneath the name-mockery. Michigan was the target, not the man.
Michigan holds the largest Arab-American population in the United States. Dearborn sits inside it. Rashida Tlaib represents Michigan's 12th district. In the 2024 Democratic primary, the "uncommitted" movement in Michigan drew over 100,000 votes against Biden over Gaza, a protest vote in a state that decides presidential elections.
El-Sayed ran as a progressive on universal health care, getting "money out of politics," and an end to US complicity in Gaza. He won in a state Trump narrowly carried in 2024. He drew large crowds even in deeply conservative Republican areas. His victory came despite an eleventh-hour betrayal: Congresswoman Haley Stevens, who lost the Democratic primary to El-Sayed, endorsed Rogers at the last moment.
The Republicans ran a scorched-earth campaign branding him a communist and a terrorist who would endanger Americans. He won anyway.
The buried layer: the first Muslim senator is also the first senator elected on a platform of ending the Gaza complicity.
El-Sayed's campaign was not merely about representation. His stated foreign policy position was that US money should not fund "apartheid, or genocide, or war". That position was on the ballot in a battleground state, and it won.
That is the file the corporate press will soften. The Democratic Party's leadership voted for the $26.4 billion** supplemental and the annual **$3.3 billion in the NDAA. It confirmed the officials who shipped the bombs. It will not break the veto. El-Sayed's seat does not change the appropriations bill.
But it changes the arithmetic inside the party. A senator from Michigan, with the Arab-American electorate that decides the state, is now a vote the leadership must manage. He can attach conditions. He can force recorded votes. He can make the party's pro-entity consensus visible in a chamber where it was previously automatic.
The contradiction, and it is not a slogan.
Trump told a rally that he could call a man "whatever the hell I want". That man is now Senator-elect Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed. The President will be in office when the Senate convenes in January. The Vice President will administer the oath.
The name that was mocked is the name that will be entered in the Senate record. The phrase that was circulated as a smear inshallah became the setup for alhamdulillah.
The bill.
A physician who ran the Detroit health department through the Flint crisis. A Rhodes Scholar and Columbia-trained doctor. A progressive who won a battleground state that Trump carried. The first Muslim in the upper chamber.
Trump spent months mocking the name. El-Sayed spent the campaign building a majority. On election night, he said the name in full, told the President to call him senator, and closed with the word the smear campaign had tried to weaponize.
The name is on the ballot. The seat is in the Senate. The pronunciation will be corrected by the title.

A major investigation has uncovered an Israel-linked, three-year disinformation operation designed to spread Islamophobia, anti-migrant hatred and far-right conspiracy theories across more than 30 countries.
The operation spent £6.12 million generating 800 million advertising exposures across social media platforms.
The UK was among the worst-affected countries, with 154.1 million exposures, followed by France (120.6 million), the US (99.7 million), Italy (76.2 million) and Germany (34.3 million).
These campaigns include claiming that there's an Islamic invasion and Muslim countries are buying European buildings and converting them into mosques.
In the UK, 61% of comments sampled on targeted Facebook adverts expressed support for Islamophobic views.
Think about that. Millions spent deliberately exploiting prejudice, spreading conspiracy theories and turning Muslims into scapegoats and to dehumanise them.
The Nazi regime also ran a massive, state-sponsored propaganda and disinformation campaign.
