The model presented in paper I in Emilia’s thesis provides a general reflection of the complex system of biofouling management in the marine environment: sciencedirect.com/science/ar…
The paper II suggests that biocidal-free coating with a regular in-water cleaning using a capture system is generally the lowest-risk option. By the careful consideration of the hull fouling management #strategy, both money and environment can be saved.

HELCOM has adopted the updated #BalticSeaActionPlan during its Ministerial Meeting 2021 that was held in Lübeck, Germany, on 20 October 2021. The ambitious plan contains about 200 concrete actions for a #healthyBaltic.
