I had some time off today, so I am starting to sort the alpaca fiber that I was gifted a few weeks ago. This is mostly the short bits that were cut off of the edges of the fleece & some long neck fibers. Most of this will be turned into felt, not spun into yarn.

This is just a small amount of the fiber. I am going to be sorting & washing fiber for awhile.

Integrating solar with farming is such a forward-thinking approach!

@KathyforMD This is not some great secret. This information is widely available to people who care about farming. 🤦‍♀️ #SolarFarms
A Colorado hay farm was struggling to pay its bills until solar panels helped save it. Byron Kominek turned his family’s Longmont farm into Jack’s Solar Garden, now home to over three thousand panels. The panels generate enough power for about three hundred homes while sheep graze in their cooling shade. It’s become the largest agrivoltaics research site in the country, studying how solar and farming can share land. Innovation kept this family farm alive. Support local farms on Localize

@KathyforMD I guess you don't read the NYT? 🙄

Maryland needs to elect better educated leaders. Solar farms can also be sources of locally grown food & shelter for native plants & pollinators when planned the right way. Kathy should know this already. 🤦‍♀️

Fairytale thinking. Solar farms take active usable farmland out of production. Then, you must import our food from a foreign country or a state far away and pay to truck that into our state. Choosing solar panels over locally grown food is a bad choice. Then talk about the cost of solar energy versus power plant energy. Your plan is higher BGE bills and less food security.

Can the 60k people being given the boot from Microsoft all get together and form a new company that builds a version of Windows and Office that doesn’t have AI, doesn’t use Sharepoint or OneDrive and doesn’t suck?

The odds of Bubba calling Tyler a 'MF' are basically zero. If you knew anything about this team, that should have tipped you off that Bubba was referring to someone else. Trotta is really bad at her job. 🤦‍♀️

New Epstein report from the House Judiciary Committee and a reminder that Blanche and Trump are still withholding a TON of information that is almost certainly damning on them, and definitely not exculpatory. democrats-judiciary.house.go…

Another decades-long vacant on the street behind me is being gutted & restored as of today! Words cannot express how happy I am right now. Yes, there are 8 more to go, but this particular one feels like a turning point. 🙂

The man who bought the vacant house has already renovated one row house on that street & a few others on a different street in Brooklyn. He showed me some before & after photos & they were beautiful. 🙂

The hearings today on drexel's closure of the academy of natural sciences went very well today. In short, i would say that drexel has made themselves look pretty bad.
