An isolated LIMA to LAD well executed through a full sternotomy is one of the quickest operations that we do with the greatest impact in survival, much more so than a heroic complex multi valve or aortic operation that generates fancy pictures and podium presentations.
Replying to @GianTorre610 @georgetolisjr
Patients and cardiologists seem to prefer LAD full metal jacket or complex PCI to sternotomy CABGx1. CABGx1 referrals only appear if you offer a minimally-invasive approach. But conversion to sternotomy should be encouraged if the quality of the LIMA-LAD is in question.

The saddest week of @DownstateSurg in recent memory has come to a close. Our PGY2 @ErfanFarid passed away peacefully after sudden cardiac arrest. His legacy of dedication, altruism, and excellence shines as a radiant beacon.

3+ years in the making, it feels good to see this one finally published! Our RCT showed no difference in postop pain between patients who received acetaminophen-oxycodone vs ibuprofen following URSLL for stone disease. @MantuGuptaMD @JohnathanKhusid @William_Atallah

Absolute pleasure sharing our RCT at #AUA22 last weekend. Our results indicate NSAID can provide equivalent pain relief compared to opiods following URS for stone disease @MantuGuptaMD
