The Modi government is fully aware of the evolving situation. President Trump's volatile policy shifts impact not just India but global talent flows. The U.S. faces a growing talent shortage, especially in STEM.
Indian students are not just aspirants; they are indispensable to the American knowledge economy.
Meanwhile, countries like Japan, Germany, Canada, and even Hong Kong are opening doors wider for Indian talent. Smart governments plan with alternatives in view, not panic.
Regarding “Operation Sindoor,” the Government of India acts when facts are clear, not when propaganda is peddled. Strategic silence is not weakness, it is wisdom. National security and the dignity of our students cannot be held hostage to political tweeting.
Let us trust our institutions to act when it matters most. Empty outrage does not help students, systemic negotiation does.
