I gave you my “why”, & you’re looking for textual reasons but dude it’s the LACK of “textual reason” that makes it a problem. That’s my whole point there’s a LACK of interactions, that would make it feel contrived for the characters all we have is Subaru jokingly hinting at it.

It’s the lack of input from Rem and Emilia, in which sure rem acknowledges it but In a way that is unhealthy towards her character & is a reflection of her habit of putting others on pedestals &herself below, and Emilia there’s like nothing, 10 arcs in I think it’s just too late

Why would it be good? You’ve yet to say why, you just post ss’s of no context text, it feels like an exploitation of Rem & Emilia’s character reducing them to prizes for Subaru, maybe if there was even SLIGHT romantic development between them it would be one thing, but that lacks

I still haven't received a single reason, based solely on the text, why such an ending would be bad; it’s primarily just issues with polygamy as a concept.

Like obviously this has been hinted at in the story, the argument was never if there was any basis to this it was A: Did Tappei Properly execute this? & B: Would this be contradictory/hypocritical to the themes set up in re zero till now? & imo it’s yes to both.

Agreed, re:zero’s humor has always been its weakest aspect to me but, it’s also never bothered me cause humor is just so subjective & its rlly the last thing I look for from the series😭, tbh most anime have never rlly got a good laugh outta me, so that also contributes I’m sure

I'll add my personal complaints too. I've read till arc 6 end and several side stories and EX volumes. And the weakest point I've found in Rezero so far is the humor. Tappei tries to write humor, but it's just not working and has never made me laugh. Still goated work tho.
