Grayscale Says Zcash's 20% Developer Funding Has Fueled a Decade of Innovation
Grayscale, a leading digital asset manager, highlighted Zcash's (ZEC) continued innovation ahead of its 10th anniversary on October 28, attributing part of its progress to the allocation of 20% of block rewards to developer funding. The privacy-focused cryptocurrency has evolved through multiple shielded pools, from Sprout and Sapling to Orchard and the 2026 Ironwood upgrade, which introduced quantum-recoverable addresses and formal verification to address security vulnerabilities.

Zcash $ZEC is leading financial privacy by innovation.
Zcash funds its own development. 80% of mining rewards go to miners, with 20% flowing into R&D through the Dev Fund, keeping the ecosystem free from venture capital. That funding recently went toward Ironwood, a new pool with advanced privacy features.

Zcash ETF inflows are starting to get interesting.
Grayscale's $ZCSH just recorded another $20.5 MILLION in inflows.
That's FOUR consecutive positive trading sessions.
October 20: $1.6M
October 21: $15.2M
October 22: $14.2M
October 23: $20.5M
$51.5 MILLION in four days.
And the latest session was the biggest of the four.
Remember, this comes after weeks of significant outflows.
Too early to call a complete reversal.
But demand for ZEC exposure through traditional markets is showing signs of recovery.
