Meanwhile sir in 2020: Christmas hai, extension do
Tax audit due dates have already been extended once. There is no need to extend them again. When you choose a profession like CA practice, you can’t give excuses of the festive season for a due date extension; it seems rather ridiculous.

I received a representation from Shri Nagesh Salunkhe, State Head of the @NCPspeaks Tax Practitioners Cell, Maharashtra, highlighting the difficulties faced by taxpayers and tax professionals in completing tax audits within the current deadline. With the income tax return deadlines of 31 July and 31 August having already passed, the time available until 30 September is considered inadequate for completing tax audits that involve detailed verification, scrutiny and reconciliation. For Assessment Year 2026-27, tax audit reports are due on 30 September. Chartered accountants, tax consultants and taxpayers are under pressure due to GST and TDS work, difficulties with the income tax portal, recent festivals and the proposed nationwide bank strike from 28 to 30 September. I urge Hon. Nirmala Sitharaman Ji to extend the deadline for submitting tax audit reports, along with the corresponding deadline for filing income tax returns in audit cases. This would provide much-needed relief to taxpayers and allow the work to be completed accurately. @nsitharaman @nsitharamanoffc @FinMinIndia

Respected Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Ji, @nsitharaman @PMOIndia I wish to draw your urgent attention to genuine and serious difficulties being faced by Chartered Accountants and taxpayers across the country in completing Tax Audit Reports for AY 2026–27 within the present deadline of 30 September 2026. The Income Tax Department confirms that the tax audit report for FY 2025–26 is governed by the Income-tax Act, 1961 and is required to be furnished one month before the applicable ITR due date. The CA fraternity is working under an exceptionally compressed timeframe due to return-filing assignments, evolving and updated income-tax utilities, extensive reconciliation and verification, finalisation of financial statements, GST, TDS/TCS and other statutory compliances. This year, the workload has increased further with the implementation of the revised financial-statement framework for applicable non-corporate entities, including the requirement to present comparative figures in the prescribed format. This entails additional reconciliation, regrouping, documentation and professional review, requiring meaningful additional time. Section 44AB is not merely a form-filing exercise. It requires professional judgement, detailed examination of books and records, reconciliation, verification and responsible reporting through Forms 3CA/3CB and 3CD. The Department itself describes tax audit as a statutory reporting requirement intended to facilitate proper reporting and discourage tax avoidance and evasion. There is also a practical seasonal constraint. The last days of September coincides with major festivals and observances, including Ganesh Visarjan and Paryushan, resulting in reduced availability of clients, accounting personnel, audit staff and supporting professionals precisely when final clarifications, documents and reconciliations are required. A tax audit should be an exercise of deep scrutiny—not a race against the clock. Adequate time enables Chartered Accountants to identify discrepancies, verify transactions and ensure that the information ultimately submitted to the Revenue is accurate, complete and meaningful. Quality compliance requires time. Responsible certification requires time. Effective tax administration requires quality audits. Section 119 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 provides the CBDT with powers to issue appropriate orders for proper and efficient administration of the Act and, in appropriate circumstances, to address genuine hardship. I therefore request that the Ministry/CBDT may kindly extend the Tax Audit due date for AY 2026–27 from 30 September 2026 to 31 October 2026, along with consequential extension of the related return-filing and statutory compliance timelines, wherever necessary. With the existing deadline only a few days away, I request that this matter be considered urgently and sympathetically. An extension of time will enable deeper scrutiny, better professional diligence and more responsible tax compliance. With regards, Yours sincerely, Shaktisinh Gohil @CANITINCHAWLA @SumitRDas @CA_DHARMESH31 @CA_NirmalMishra

Why would anyone voluntarily accept such a big ‘haircut’?
Here in this process those who have voted for the CRP are directly or indirectly relates to Dr. Subhash Chandra. Voted for peanut settlement. Section 79(2)(g) of The IBC gave free hand. If this is the case all crooks will do the same and loot the Public money kept in banks

For over a decade, Bengaluru has seen the cost of living soar, but if there is one segment of our community that has been left behind, it is our Auto Drivers. The simplest way to understand this is by looking at our daily breakfast. In 2015, a standard plate of Idli-Vada in a local Darshini cost approximately ₹30, while the auto minimum fare was ₹25. Today, in 2026, that same Idli-Vada costs between ₹85 and ₹90, yet the auto minimum is only ₹36. While the price of a basic breakfast has surged by 183%, auto fares have grown by a mere 44%. In fact, auto fares are the slowest-growing essential service in the city, lagging far behind the costs of fuel, milk, and house rent. Furthermore, the input costs for drivers have not stayed stagnant; since 2015, the price of a new vehicle, insurance, and routine maintenance has nearly doubled. Our auto driver community is the backbone of Bengaluru’s last-mile connectivity. We should not only support them but also request the GoK to re-evaluate the auto fare structure immediately. Aligning fares with the current cost of living is essential to ensure that our fellow Kannadiga drivers can lead a life of dignity and maintain a stable livelihood.
Why should citizens support auto drivers? How many of them go by the meter. So many charge higher fares and extort money. Do they deserve any support?

I hang my head in shame when I see the kind of respect and reception has been given to the representative of the world’s worst terrorists group Taliban by those who beat the pulpit against all kind of terrorists . Shame on Deoband too for giving such a reverent welcome to their “ Islamic Hero” who is one of those who have completely banned girls education. My Indian brothers n sisters !!! what is happening to us .

One Day, One of my previous employer called me to his office and asked me that- Is there any tax provision which can I pay lumpsum every year and in terms of this, not a single govt deptt harras his organization, himself, his staff and system Imagine his level of frustration!
Our tax authorities are so clever:
When you ask them for clarification about transactions you plan to do, they don’t answer your question directly.
Instead, they just refer you to a section of law or tell you to consult a professional. It’s like they’re waiting for you to make a mistake
So they can punish you for it later

#Bihar Election Revdi Utsav #Bihar contributes Rs 26752 Crore to GST and Income tax per annum which is just 0.68 % of total tax collection of India. It gets back Rs. 1,43,069 Crores from Central Govt which is 10 % of total tax kitty of India. PM transferred Rs 7500 Crores to 75 Lakh Bihar women (Rs 10000 each) before state elections (Approx 28 % total tax Bihar contributes to nation). PM says its just a start as a gift . These women will get Rs 2 Lakh each for doing vocation and business, the purpose of which will not be asked as per Govt.
