Small is quite misleading
When youโre well over 6ft tall
The devil is in the details โจso just donโt pay attention
Oh this Adderall
Will be the end of us all
But at least I know youโll be up
Out back counting stars
I have a confession to makeโฆ
Since August Iโve been eating my roommateโs cherry tomatoes. Truthfully, the first time was an accident. They were the same small container of tomatoes I typically get from the grocery on our corner. I realized after that they were his so I made sure to buy a new box before he returned from work.
About a week and a half later I noticed the new tomatoes were going badโฆ I couldnโt help myself and I ate them. Immediately filled with guilt I ran downstairs to buy a replacement for him so he wouldnโt notice.
Then the strangest thing happenedโฆ He didnโt touch them again for 2 weeks this time?! Completely not opened or anything.
Soโฆ uh I ate them again and bought another pack for him.
This has been going on since Augustโฆ Iโm honestly convinced my roommate thinks he has an everlasting box of tomatoes that will never go bad.
Iโm going to see how far I can go until he says something ๐

This is a life changing amount of money for us. We've often have to pause paychecks, which were small to begin with, to make sure the org can pay its bills
You hear a lot about people making it out "unscathed"
But ive never even seen a single person ever get "scathed"
I legitimately had the best Halloween Weekend i've ever had
Just returned home from 4 days of nonstop adventure and I started crying because I'm so happy right now
Loosing the forrest for the treeโs is unlikely
because youโre just like me
I understand
why you held your head in your hands
I watched you realize
you still can
it's so crazy that this is all just one guy
When I was young, Iโd disappear into comics when things became too much to handle.
I read everything, but the X-Men comics were always my favorite escape from reality.
I spent my youth as a mutant, constantly feeling different and wrong. I so deeply wished for Professor X to freeze time around me, stop the horror, and bring me back to the X-Mansion. Surely heโd show me how to feel okayโฆ or maybe Iโd even learn to be a hero.
Year after year, no one arrived. Over and over, I wished for adventure, meaning, any semblance of belonging. I grew angry at the world for making me feel differentโฆ undesirable for something I had to keep hidden from the worldโฆ
I was nothing but a mutant, and there was no place for mutants in the real world.
But now I look in the mirror and I recognize myselfโฆ Iโm truly happy to be me.
Professor X visited me through the comics, movies, and shows that I never stopped reading or watching.
I just didnโt realize heโd shown up for me the first time I opened Giant-Size X-Menโฆ
He froze time every moment I'd get stuck on a page. He helped me believe that maybe, someday, there could be a place in this world for someone like me.
And eventually,
I found it.
RIP Sir Patrick Stewart.
Thank you for bringing to life a character who helped a lonely lost mutant believe she could grow up to be happy.
the fire is warm
but just up to the knees
I'm afraid to get burned
