Does the average westerner whether normie or even high IQ sensible/tech bro etc have a theory of mind for someone who mills about their entire life in a country they have nothing to do with subsisting on free stuff? This is something a lot of people still struggle with. So much time and breath spent on trying to rationalise about these people; why they go where they go, why they do what they do. this was something done to us almost flippantly. I went back and read the 1991 "new faces in the crowd" report about Canada and it's like: there's not really any economic benefit but it will make the country more "interesting"
