I haven't shared this here (I don't share much here) but feel compelled to now. We lost our 13 year old daughter, Kyrie, back in Nov. It was an undiagnosed heart issue that took her overnight. No signs, no previous symptoms. Our world fell apart pre-pandemic. 1/
A phrase was written on a banner by a teacher at my child's funeral - "Be Kyrie Kind." It has become our motto. We have begun to do things as best we can with this in mind, to keep her memory and spirit alive. 15/
Kyrie was very kind but was also not afraid to call out injustice when she saw it. We miss her every minute of every day. I hope we as a country can do everything we can to prevent another family from experiencing anything like what we've gone through. #bekyriekind /end
