Vandy OC Tim Beck makes the case for flipping your offensive lineman with strong side and quick side

Congrats to @CoachWestern and the Lady Raiders and their State Championship win today. Love seeing dreams come true to those who do the hard work to get there. NOTHING GREATER THAN A RAIDER!!!!
And a better person than Coach!
Vanderbilt before Tim Beck… and Vanderbilt after Tim Beck.
The transformation is undeniable.
2023 (Before Beck)
• 2–10 overall | 0–8 SEC
• Lost games by wide margins
• Struggled to score and finish drives
• No bowl, no momentum, little offensive identity
2024 (Year 1 under Tim Beck)
• 7–6 overall | Bowl win
• Wins over Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky
• Offense showed structure, balance, confidence
• Competitive every week instead of overmatched
2025 (Year 2 leap)
• 10–2 regular season | Top-15 ranking
• High-scoring offense (45+ multiple times)
• Beat LSU, Tennessee, Missouri, Auburn
• SEC contender, not just surviving
• Headed to the ReliaQuest Bowl vs Iowa (12/31)
Beck brought Heisman finalist Diego Pavia with him after rebuilding New Mexico State University w/ Jerry Kill (Cheney native), and the results followed immediately.
Kansas roots run deep
• Ness City, Kansas native
• Former head coach at Pittsburg State University
• Tre Richardson (Highland Park), playmaker at WR/returner
• Cade McConnell (grew up in Pittsburg before moving to OK) — OL; Beck coached his father Aaron, an All-American at Pitt State
• Jerry Kill (Cheney, KS) on staff, longtime head coach at multiple programs
📍 Here’s where Tim Beck has been
Dodge City CC - player for two years out of HS
Pittsburg State - player, assistant, coordinator, head coach that won national title (2011) - spent 1985 to 2019 in Pittsburg
TCU - offensive analyst
New Mexico State - OC/QB (program turnaround)
Vanderbilt University — Offensive Coordinator (2024–present)
Kansas connections. Elite play-calling. Proven rebuilds.
Tim Beck is one of the best offensive coordinators in college football and Vanderbilt is living proof.
