This tweet is misleading. This study merely points out that the cutoff for who is considered to be "low T" should be adjusted from 300ng/dL to 264ng/dL. The actual decline in numbers 1-2% per year is undisputed, a likely 20-40% decline since 1970s.
[1/3] Men's testosterone levels did not plummet over the past decade like many wellness podcasts would have you believe... we just switched the measurement assay from immunoassay to mass spectrometry When we switched assays, we observed a ~100% increase in self-reported healthy men with low testosterone. The threshold needed to be updated when the assay changed. Arun AS, Durant TJS, El-Khoury JM, Krumholz HM. Re-evaluating the threshold for low total testosterone. Clinical Chemistry 2025.

🧵 Just recorded an incredible podcast with Prof. Jonathan Schooler about consciousness. His "Nested Observer Window" theory suggests we're not one consciousness, but a community of them. Like Russian dolls, but each doll is aware. Let me explain... 🧠✨

No more obesity by 2035? Stanford’s AI model discovered BRP, a natural peptide that reduces hunger by 50% - with zero side effects. Unlike weight-loss drugs, BRP only targets the brain’s hunger center, making it safer and more effective.

Today's obesity epidemic (40% of Americans) will seem as quaint as 1960s population fears. By 2035, AI-discovered molecules like BRP will make obesity rare, healthcare costs will plummet, and we'll look back at 2020s as when the "Obesity Bomb" was defused.

This is how technology defuses crises. Population growth didn't end because we ran out of resources—it changed through innovation. Obesity isn't ending because of willpower but AI-driven pharmaceutical discoveries that are revolutionizing metabolism.

Even better, BRP was discovered with AI. Unlike GLP-1s, which affect multiple organs (causing nausea), BRP targets only the hypothalamus. With AI, we'll be flooded with better and better molecules to control our own biology.

In 1968, Paul Ehrlich published "The Population Bomb," predicting apocalyptic famines that never came. Ironically, same year marked peak population growth rates, after which fertility declined. We'll see the same pattern with obesity.
