Sure, the smoke alarm was now disabled and your family might roast in a fire but you had weighed the odds and that battery was necessary for kickoff.

Curt Cignetti took over the worst program in college football history and then proceeded to win the school’s first-ever national championship within just two years. It's the most remarkable coaching job in the history of sports.

Got to experience my first Army-Navy game yesterday and it was unbelievable.
Bucket list moment for sure. A couple of takeaways:
1) There’s no doubt in my mind this is the purest & greatest form of College football left in the world. Specifically at the Division 1 level.
2) The humans that make up this game & the respective academies are the best that this country has to offer. Every Race, Creed & Color coming together for a common cause.
3) I love this freaking country & this beautiful game.
4) This game should ONLY be played OUTDOORS. Grit, toughness & a willingness to fight belongs in the elements.

"You've never heard it till you've heard Eddie Vedder sing it."
Such respectful lines by Tom Petty, then he invites Eddie Vedder to stage.
There you have a beautiful performance of a song called 'The Waiting' live in 2006.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Eddie Vedder, the frontman of Pearl Jam, performing a great rendition of The Waiting.
This is what the internet was invented for.
