Marilyn Monroe photographed without makeup in 1954. During her early modeling days, Monroe questioned photographers about the technical aspects of their jobs, and became an expert on how look her best in front of the camera. It was a rare day when anyone photographed her without makeup. But on September 9, 1954, her friend Milton Greene was allowed to take pictures of her at the St. Regis Hotel, New York, au naturel. They are some of the most beautiful photographs ever taken of Monroe.
