As far as I know ColorNote is still Android-only, sadly. Closest feel on a PC is Google Keep in the browser: free, coloured notes and checklists. If you'd rather keep notes as files on your own computer, we make WriteWeft, free on the Microsoft Store and Snap Store. No account.

"Imagine describing a dog to someone who’s never seen one before and then asking them to draw it. They might get some things right, you know, but there’s no way they’d get everything right. You know, the devil’s in the details."

I need someone to reverse-engineer a desktop version of ColorNote. I have been using that app for over 15 years and simply cant migrate to newer, shinier note-taking app😭

If you were having coffee with me, I would ask if the rapture has happened and we are the leftovers who never got the memo and that's why we are here experiencing extreme weather from heatwaves to dry spells and hailstorms? ☕ becomingthemuse.net/2026/10/…
