I will never shut up about COVID. I will never shut up about Palestine. In both cases, the US political establishment (both Democrats and Republicans) made calculated decisions about which lives they believe are expendable. And it’s disgusting.

We were left for dead during 2020, it’s why Atlanta radicals future developed the mutual aid practices in ways many other locales simply did not. That growth of interconnection was a progenitor for the stop cop city movement. Shit is not happening in a vacuum.

Remember when the Covid pandemic started and everybody across the country was like yoooo wtf is Atlanta on?????
Guess who was mayor at that time, not holding businesses accountable for violating any scientific recommendations

When Brian Kemp said Covid precautions were ridiculous and KLB said she was gonna go to war with him about it and dropped that act after about a month in a half which influenced other major cities to do similar shit WAY too early???

My excitement about this election will manifest when Democrats make sure Republicans are never in positions of power to cause great harm again, via the policies and legislation they enact with the power they were given. Apply consistent pressure. Republicans certainly will.

Keisha Lance Bottoms started the militarized cop city project after we were protesting against Black bodies being brutalized by police departments so I’m extremely unmoved by the representational politics of her win
brittaney retweeted
obviously her opponent was not a *better* choice, AND keisha displaced countless black residents in atl as council member, stood on the shoulders of her predecessor by introducing Cop City as mayor, terrorized organizers in this city, all as a way to get to DC. so… i guess…

just as she has done as a “public servant” for the majority of her career, keisha lance bottoms will perform her role in the interest of the establishment. and i hope everyone remembers that amid the negroliberal “first black…” and “governor named keisha” celebrations.

Keisha and Andre sat on Kasim’s council, and in their capacities as council folks and mayors displaced whole communities, brokered stadium deals, and ofc built cop city (they did their jobs)
and now they got the keys to the state

Google is trying to use its monopoly power to force AI into our public schools.
No corporation should have the power to dictate how we teach our children.
Our public schools exist to serve students, not to grow the profit margins of Big Tech.

This is why I don't trust people who never test. It was established back in 2020 that about half of COVID transmission is from people who (1) aren't showing symptoms YET, or (2) won't develop any symptoms at all. It *permanently* damages your organs even if you don't feel it yet.

I’ve learned that physically healthy, able-bodied people think they can “earn” their health. That if they eat right, exercise, and “don’t be lazy,” they’ll be able-bodied forever.
This belief is the insidious underbelly of every piece of disability or healthcare legislation.

I am SO SICK of trying to negotiate with medical professionals (especially dentists!!!) about wearing respirators. I shouldn’t have to risk what is left of my health and life TO GET NECESSARY DENTAL WORK. My teeth hurt. It’s just a mask. Grow the fuck up!

Israeli actress Chelli Goldenberg said she is no longer proud to be Israeli during a live interview.
After discovering the conversation was broadcast live, she expressed shock and later apologized for her remarks.

western chauvinism is crazy because your entire society is run by landlords pedophiles and religious fanatics, you can do nothing to stop them, they have stalled progress in your country for generations, yet somehow you still have the temerity to call other leaders "dictators"

Even worse, western countries pretend moral enlightenment, as if they all don’t currently still have colonies and participate in human trafficking, the slave trade, and drug running. Every single one of them. France, The US, UK, Canada, Belgium, etc. all those hands are bloody.

They're just exchanging one genocidal maniac for another. The only reason they're finally getting rid of him is b/c they think it'll make the world forget that the problem is Israeli society, ideologies, and politics, and not just one man.
It's the same problem the US has.
Netanyahu officially lost the elections.
