Trolls thought they were damaging our business. Turns out they were writing the copy for our next product range, the #TrollTax collection of t-shirts, coasters, mugs, tees and book wrapping paper. With profound thanks to @BenSettle for his bbooks.co/CopyTroll bookπŸ‘

I've already written to the owner of that van and told them they're barred from the shop.

Did you see the β€œChipper” van at Portadown’s Shamrock Park ground on TV the other night when they played Linfield? πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

Today we remember #Rangers #CyrilSmith #QGM β˜˜οΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ killed by a #PIRA bomb in Newry on the 24th October 1990. On that day, 4 Platoon, B Company, #2ndBattalion The #RoyalIrishRangers were manning the Permanent Vehicle Checkpoint at #Cloghoge Mountain situated on the A1 to the south of #Newry. At 0409 hours, a yellow van pulled up at the checkpoint, and the driver leapt from the van shouting 'There's a bomb'. Ranger Cyril John Smith, who was the duty 'road man', led the driver to safety while alerting the other soldiers who were manning the checkpoint. Certain that the driver was safe, Ranger Smith ran back to the centre of the checkpoint despite being told not to go. He set off shouting,'I have to go back and make sure the rest of the boys are safe'. As #RangerSmith again ran past the van, the #bomb #exploded, killing him instantly. Ranger Smith acted without regard for his own safety, thinking only of saving the lives of his fellow Rangers. For this action, he was, on 5th November 1991, posthumously awarded the #QueensGallantryMedal in recognition of his bravery. The entry in the Supplement to the London Gazette, 5th November 1991, stated: The QUEEN has been graciously pleased to approve the posthumous award of the Queen's Gallantry Medal to the undermentioned in recognition of gallantry in #NorthernIreland: Queen's Gallantry Medal Q.G.M. MINISTRY OF DEFENCE (ARMY DEPARTMENT) 24794602 Ranger Cyril John SMITH, The Royal Irish Rangers (27th (Inniskilling) 83rd and 87th). Disappointing that the @BelTel has printed an inaccurate and factually wrong headline on my Chagos Bill indicating it had been defeated. Despite Government not supporting it, it passed 2nd reading without a division ie unanimously& progresses to the next stage ie direct opposite

Another crazy incident in our old house (now sold) - We got visited by an official from the planning department for Bedfordshire Borough Council Why? Because Zoe’s (age 12) toy cafe got reported for illegal trading. I kid you not. We had to show the lady around our property to prove we weren’t running an illegal operation.

That's irrelevant, this is about leadership. Gavin Robinson is the leader of Unionism and he needs to lead. You can't outsource the future of the Assembly to Jamie Bryson.

I have spent an inordinate amount of time in various Spoons this weekend owing to the awful weather and our awful public transport system. So while I wait for my Korean friend chicken burger here’s some of the under explored reasons why Spoons is so great: 1. They have real Heinz ketchup (ditto Heinz mustard, HP sauce etc). This is impressive when most food trucks and even restaurants etc now use cheaper supermarket-brand versions as Heinz has become so pricey 2. The southern fried chicken strips are better than the chicken selects in McDonald’s (and that’s a high bar) 3. The staff are nice (I’ve always found) 4. The spice bag is elite 5. There’s something for everyone - even Aperol Spritz! (Β£4.75) 6. The free re-fills on the coffee 7. Often they’re in great heritage buildings 8. The explicit invite on the pump to try before you choose. This is great Many more but my burger has now arrived

Don't ever try to assume why people turned up last night as you got it entirely wrong. Do you think because one side does x, y or z we just follow. Catch yourself on, the reason obv to most Unionists, they turned up was to show support and stand with the men of Lol 1!!
