On Damsgaard…
‘We’ve had to be careful with him. He evaded a pretty naughty tackle [on international duty] and we were pretty worried that that might be quite significant.’
‘He did well to avoid a serious injury, but he has had some pain, so we’ve had to tread carefully with how much he’s trained and how much contact he can have.’
‘Because it was right foot, he was still feeling it, but coming into the Hull game he started to be a little bit more pain free. He’s in a better place now but he’s obviously had a pretty disrupted last few weeks. He’s good to go.’
🎙️ Keith Andrews. #BrentfordFC
Team news… @Carabao_Cup
Rico Henry will not feature…
‘He picked up a hip and quad injury a few weeks ago in training. Rico is going to be out for a period of weeks, probably until after the international break. It’s really unfortunate for him. He’s working hard to get back up to speed.’
Elsewhere…
Andrews provided a positive update on the injured trio of Antoni Milambo, Kaye Furo (metatarsal) and Josh Dasilva (hamstring), also revealing that Mikkel Damsgaard has been playing through pain in his right foot in recent weeks.
‘Antoni (Milambo) trained with the group on Saturday and he’s involved today (Tuesday), so he’s in and around it.’
“Kaye (Furo) is doing really well. He’s been out of his boot for about a week to 10 days. He’s not on the grass yet but is making really good progress and is in good spirits.’
‘Josh (Dasilva), similarly to Antoni, was involved with the Saturday session before the Hull game. He’s building, was involved in a bigger session in midweek last week and is making really good strides.’

Dean Henderson looks set to return. @Carabao_Cup
‘I think he will play on Wednesday.’
Elsewhere…
‘We will see on Wednesday for [Jørgen] Strand Larsen, because he received, as you saw, a tackle [against Beșiktaș], and his ankle twisted.’
‘For Ismaïla Sarr, it's difficult, because his groin is really making him struggle.
He was able to play 15-30 minutes. We tried to push more in Lyon. He played 60, but it's really difficult for him. And I think you saw in his performance, he ran less, especially with high-speed runs.’
🎙️ Alvaro Arbeloa. #FFC @Carabao_Cup
‘I expect to put the strongest team possible. Obviously, we played three days ago, and we have another match in three days, but I am only thinking about winning this game.’
‘For me, this cup is really important. It's a great opportunity for us to reach a final – three more games, we are not far. We are playing at home, against a team that, like I said before, beat us some weeks ago, so I am thinking about the best XI that I can put on the pitch.’
🎙️ Marco Rose. #AFCB @Carabao_Cup
On the Cherries approach…
‘I want to win every game and we want to be competitive in every competition. Of course, we’re going to see another team, but we’re going to have a competitive team, that’s for sure.’
‘I feel the squad right now is in a really good spot, because I have players on the bench who deserve to play. I only do it if you deserve it. I never throw a game away just to be fresh at the weekend.’
Kroupi is expected to get minutes following his recent return from injury…
‘Junior needs some more training to respond better to the load. We’re going to train hard and improve his match time.’
🎙️ Matthias Jaissle. #NUFC
Team news… going strong in the Cup.
‘Due to the history for the club in that competition, I have the same approach - to play with the best possible line-up…. The fans have huge expectations and they have that taste now with winning the competition.’
On Lewis Miley and Fernandez-Pardo…
‘These two players are still doubtful. Question marks on if they can make [Thursday night]. We need to see step-by-step over the next two days… With both of them, we don't want to take any additional risk and, hopefully, they are getting back soon.’
🎙️ Xabi Alonso. #CFC
Team news… @Carabao_Cup
Joao Pedro faces a race against to feature before the break…
‘He has an injury of his thigh and is going to be out for a few weeks. Let's see how many: we don’t want to predict that, but he won’t be ready for the next games.’
‘Yeah, for sure [we can cope]. This is why you build a squad…’
Cole Palmer is suspended…
‘We spoke. He knows the mistake he made. It's things he can avoid. Let's hope it's not going to be repeated. He's mature. It was a mistake.’
Emmanuel Emegha could feature for the first time this season…
‘He's been training for the last 10 days in a good way to allow him to build up his fitness. Maybe tomorrow he has the chance to play.’
🎙️ Enzo Maresca. #MCFC
Team news… @Carabao_Cup
Haaland, Dias, Anderson, Donnarumma and Gvardiol were all given some time off…
‘After Villa, we gave five players three days off. Erling, Elliot, Gigio, Ruben and Josko. Go away on holiday. Three days off, go, come back. Full energy.’
On rotation…
‘In terms of how we plan, [the games] are so close so we need to make some changes. We have one more session and then we decide for tomorrow.’
Argentine goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli will start against the Seagulls.
🎙️ Fabian Hurzeler. #BHAFC

🎙️ Andoni Iraola on Szoboszlai and Munoz…
‘And with Dom and Victor, I’m not so sure. I don’t want to say no, but I think it’s going to be more difficult than Florian, yes.’
On rotation…
‘There will definitely be changes. But we want to win the game, we want to be competitive.’
[..] #LFC
Wirtz could feature in the @Carabao_Cup
‘We still have to wait, we train later. We want to [use] this last day… He was quite fine, Florian – I’m quite optimistic that he will be available.’

On Wirtz’ withdrawal…
‘Unfortunately, he had to leave the pitch with a small twist of the ankle. It doesn't look very big but we are playing every three days so we need to see where he is.’
Meanwhile, the German is confident the problem is not too serious…
‘I think it will be alright, it's not too bad. I don't know much yet. We still have to check it out, but I think it's not going to take long…’
‘I need to get this under control. I think I'll be back in the next game.’

Riccardo Calafiori had a ‘light issue’ at the weekend and the defender is being monitored. ‘We’re not quite sure what it is, something very small, but he was cautious of that.’
Tzolis could rejoin first-team training this week, and Declan Rice says he is ‘feeling good’ despite concerns over a hamstring niggle.
If Zubimendi is involved, then he may be wearing a protective mask following reports of a broken nose.

Ismailia Sarr also missed the loss to Newcastle after aggravating a groin issue in the Europa League…
‘We tried to give him some minutes on Thursday, but he was really in pain with his groin again. That’s why we chose to let him out and give him some treatment, because we need him at 100 per cent.’
🎙️ Mikel Arteta. #AFC
Team news ahead of the @Carabao_Cup this evening…
‘Our reputation, our pride, everything is in play. So every time you play a football match, and especially against a team in a different division, respect the game, respect every opponent because they deserve to do that, and then try to win and try to play a bit better than them.’
Mosquera and Hincapié are expected to get minutes, while Max Dowman is tipped for a start.

'I think it is not a big problem. We have to see.'
#COYS
Speaking on Friday, De Zerbi insisted he wouldn't take risks with Maddison.
Return to starting XI vs Coventry after 536 days → managed minutes → disrupted training (missed three days of team training) → repeat selection → forced withdrawal on 51 minutes.

'We all [thought he would have to come off] by the reaction of his team-mates. It was a really worrying action. We know Gabi and how tough and strong he is - and he seems to be OK.'

Exactly why a RTP ≠ Return To Performance
No new injury diagnosis from De Zerbi, but Maddison missed three days of group training post-Coventry...
One decisive performance shows what Spurs have been missing, but it doesn't mean he has fully restored physical output or that he is ready for repeated starts...

James Maddison will be checked...
'I don’t know, because in the first three days, Maddison didn’t work with us. I don’t know if he’s ready for tomorrow...'
'We can play with Mathys Tel, we can play with Marmoush inside, we can play with Gallagher. We have more solutions, considering now Pedro Porro can play. Like I said many times, I don’t want to take risks. If you analyse this period of European football, you can see many, many injuries, not just for Tottenham, for everyone, so if I can, I don’t want to take risks to lose many players for many games.'
